Good Bye
By waterrain
Mahado was loyal.
Mahado was protective.
Mahado was devoted to me.
I knew Mahado will never betray me.
I did not think of him as a servant. He was my best friend and I cared deeply about him. I did not want Mahado to die.
"My Pharaoh."
"Yes, Mahado."
"I won't fail you again, My Pharaoh. I have an idea and I believe it will work. So the thief will no longer pose any more danger to you, My Pharaoh."
"Mahado,"
I looked at him, grabbed his wrists, and he looked at me with surprise in those eyes.
"No one can replace you. Do not do anything reckless, Mahado." I said firmly. I do not want to lose him. No one can ever replace Mahado for he has always been there for me always so loyal, devoted, and the list goes on.
"Understood, My Pharaoh."
I released his wrists, he looked at me, and after a moment looked down.
"Do you recall my real name?"
"Yes, Atem. My Pharaoh Atem, I recall your true name."
His voice was quiet, afraid someone will hear him speaking the Pharaoh's true name, and I placed my hand on his right shoulder.
"I wish you good luck, My friend." I told him and he closed his eyes.
"Thank you, My Pharaoh. I will not fail you. I shall be leaving soon."
I was alone inside of my chambers, laying down, and looking up at the ceiling. I found out what happened to Mahado.
"Good bye, Mahado." I whispered quietly and wiped away my silent tears. "I will make him pay dearly for taking you away from me. Your death will not be in vain. I swear to Ra."
In the end my friend Mahado had been killed by the thief.
Mahado, Your death will not be in vain.
I swear to Ra that your death will not be in vain.
The thief will not get away.
Please Review and Thank You.
