Very self-explanatory; this popped into my head a while ago. It will be short, it is completed and I hope to receive lots of reviews! Please check out my poll! It is Twilight, but still. R&R!!

I was sitting in a canoe with Annabeth in the middle of the lake. I didn't need paddles, but of course she protests.
So we have paddles.
She is sitting across from me, reading some thick book. I could care less about reading. When you can only read ancient Greek you don't have much of a selection.
Where Annabeth keeps finding books, I'll never know.
Maybe if my brain was wired for ancient Greek and Italian, or any other language; something useful, I would read more.
But I can't read Italian. Even if I was Italian, I would just end up with a migraine.
In short, letters hate me. Not much I can do.
What makes zero sense to me is that Demigods can read ANCIENT Greek. Wouldn't present day Greek make more sense? I guess I can't really say 'cause I never really tried.
"Hey Annabeth, can we read Greek?" It is worth a shot.
"Really Seaweed Brain? This book is in Greek! You must be water-logged. Or extremely unobservant,"
"I know, but can Demigods read like, modern Greek? All the books I have seen you read are ancient, in both cases."
"How would I know? Authors these days; they never write anything worth reading. I can honestly say that I have never tried reading another than English or ancient Greek," She was getting frustrated.
"Well, do you think we could?" She pondered for a moment.
"Probably not, the gods peaked, or a lack of a better word, during ancient times. Three thousand years ago, that was what was most commonly used. I suppose the first Demigod ever was born with the trait.
"In a time where everyone spoke and read the same thing for those three thousand years, one would presume that it is passed down. Since my mother and your father are a part of ancient Greek Mythology, what can we expect?"
It actually made a lot of sense. I was hoping to think of something clever to say, but the only thing that came to mind was stupid in every way.
"Smarty pants," I mumbled. Annabeth smiled, opening her book again.
"I know."
I know, it isn't that great. PLEASE STLL REVIEW! No flames! I did zero research for this so it might be inaccurate. IT takes three seconds to review! Yay! Or Clever! Or ANYTHING!! :0)
