It was back when the time war had ended. All the galifreyans and Daleks were locked in a time lock to not destroy the universe. In the corner of this, frozen and horrible war, something that looked like a police phone box from around the 1960's, were slowly disintegrating into nothing. Or so it seemed.

The year is 2008. We are back at the deep blue police box, which invitingly says: "Pull to enter. For use of the public." The paint on the box is burned, and the man stumbling out of this out-of-place monstrosity, looks almost like someone out of this world, yet oddly human. He is wearing a nice bow-tie, a nice jacket and sneakers. As he crawls out of the box, no one seems to notice his presence, as almost he is thin air. One lady almost walks right into this man, whilst talking in her phone. But that is how London is at this point in time, distressed, lost and alone. They are only carrying about themselves, and this man seems to notice that, but at the same time seems to be looking for something; what this is, I am not sure.

The man, who was not from this world, walked around, his eyes, fell onto a young woman. She was one of the northern part of Britain, but had never been there herself. She was born and raised by her parents in England, schooled by Britain's, talked with Britain's and worked with them. Yet oddly, she never lost her Scottish accent; she did not fit here. And the man, from far away, saw that. He left his box, and walked up to her. They talked, and the girl, who did not fit, looked like she had seen a ghost. Then she recognized who this man was, she saw his pain and his love, his hatred and his sorrow.

There is something about eyes, they never lie, and they never change. For this man changes, and cannot die. He has seen into the time vortex itself. He has seen empires rise, and their fall. He has seen great men and women born, and seen how horrible they died.

He has seen how the universe was born, and how it shall end.

And for that, he is "sorrow" itself, for he can do nothing. He knows that all this, is fixed in time and cannot be altered, or else it will all end in screams and fire, and shall never have existed.

He then gives the woman, who did not belong, an offer, a choice. And she accepts. They walk into the police box, and yet again it disappears, and no one notice it. But they all seem a little happier, as a great issue had been solved.

The box, which was called a TARDIS, appeared yet again, on a lonely castle, in far Scotland. The year is not important, for in this weary spot, the "civilized" world is non-existing. Time flows, unrelenting of human wars and sufferings, has no care for what happens outside. Places, such as this castle, are so rare, that it is only the strongest of all that have survived. The man, who was known as the doctor, looked at the girl. He could see, that he had fulfilled an old promise he had given her, a long, long time ago.

And who knows, maybe one day, you will get the chance of visiting one of these places. And maybe, you will escape from this reality, although that it may only be for a brief moment, and you may see what the true meaning of life is. Not just walking to job and pick your phone to get yelled at. It is more than that. But I am not allowed to tell you more, because of spoilers.
