She frowned into the bowl of popcorn.
It was movie night, and Misao had taken the liberty to invite all of her friends, and her boyfriend's friends (the boyfriend as well) and Megumi had brought her boyfriend and his friend. It was funny how many friends they had in common.
Although, there was one she had never seen before.
The short red head. It was funny how he was only a bit taller than she was. You would think she'd seen him before, him being Sano's (Megumi's boyfriend) friend and all. But he was still a mystery, his name unknown.
But then again, she was always busy with her studies.
Maybe she had seen him before and just doesn't remember. He rang a sense of familiarity, like she had seen him before. Perhaps it was that sixth sense she had inherited from her grandmother.
One of the many lessons her grandmother had taught her was to trust her sixth sense. Well, that and most women like themselves all had soul mates, and didn't just fall in love. Their men that were the soul mates were matches created especially for them, and a perfect match. The phrase 'a match made in heaven' perfectly described her people.
She didn't understand the gift totally, but she was getting there. Apparently, it would grow as she devoted time and insight. It would also grow in ability. And having her 'soul mate' would create a bond that would let them hear each other's mood and emotions.
But back to the movie night. It's not possible he was her 'soul mate'. So what was he?
Just another person.
Of course.
She should just shut up and stop worrying.
Happily trying to balance all 6 bowls of the popcorn at once, she almost skipped back into the living room. Skipping wouldn't have worked.
On the way, with her heavy load, she didn't notice Sano's leg in her way.
When she was falling to the floor, she felt everything going in slow motion. The popcorn was removed from her hands, and somehow, moments later, she wasn't on the floor. Rather, she was being held by someone, preventing her from falling down. But most importantly, the popcorn was saved. And she wasn't going to have a bruise in the morning.
Now, then it was time to deal with whoever had caught her. Regaining her balance (and kicking Sano in the process,) she looked up to see her savior. It was the red head. Cursing, she realized no one had such good reflexes out of their entre group.
Deciding to discard her earlier train of thoughts (despite the tingling and bone deep feeling of right when he touched her,) she pretended as if nothing happened.
"So guy's, where's the popcorn?"
…………………………..
Abrupt ending much?
I know it's confusing. If I end up with continuing it, then I'll try and clear it out.
