You walk into my store as I finish cleaning up. You, my son, are very handsome like your father. You take a chair as I sit. There's something fishy about your visit, I know as we begin to talk.
"What would you do if you found the love of your life? What if you were extremely in love? And then someone or something came?" you ask me. I look at you before I sigh and I know it's time for a little story.
"I was just an innocent girl. Age nineteen, but still a girl. That was until he came," I begin. You perk up, listening. I continue, "I was enthralled with every single detail of his travels and knowledge he taught me. He made me feel feelings I never knew possible. Things he taught me were fascinating. He brought me pleasures beyond anyone's wildest dreams. We were happy, and… in love.
"We were always there for one another. When IT came. That disgusting bitch, that female dog! With her "woof, woof" here and "woof, woof" there. He paid attention to the dog and ignored me greatly. Our feelings for one another broke slowly and soon our love was just dust. The feelings for the bitch soared. For him, it was affection and for me it was hatred and jealousy.
"One day, I came home from my part time job and the bitch was there, in my way. Enraged at it, I pulled out a knife and struck her with the knife.
"He never forgave me for killing the dog; his only pet. After that, we married, but that was five months later. It didn't matter he never forgave me, it only mattered that I had his love."
You stare at me in horror. I look at you with a pleased smile.
"And that is the stupidest thing I've ever commited."
