Any Other Time

I had this idea for a story after season 12 episode 08. I'm surprised there haven't been any other Nick/Greg stories around that episode. (Come on guys, where's the love?)
Anyway, here's my very first fanfic! Please review!
Any other time, he would have headed straight home.
Any other time, he'd drown his bad case in a beer or maybe a movie or football game.
But this time was different.
This time, he'd watched his friend, someone he knew...or thought he knew...die.
This time he needed to be with him.
Now here he was, knocking at Greg's door.
Opening the door, Greg sees the shaken man he loves.
Any other time he would have said something like, "rough case?" or "hard night?" to break the ice. But tonight, the look in Nick's eyes say everything.
This time he just needed Greg, no words needed.
Taking Nick's hand and guiding him into his apartment, Greg embraces Nick in an embrace that stilled the shaking elder CSI. Nick pulls away and his tear-filled eyes meet Greg's.
"I know," Greg whispers. Nick can't fight the tears anymore. He sobs as Greg pulls him into a loving embrace and leads him towards the bedroom.
Any other time, they would be all over each other before the bedroom door was shut.
This time, they slowly and lovingly make love...like they have all the time in the world.
