) Ocean Breeze
)) Nrr, I do not own Zoey 101. Oh well.
"Hey Zoey, we're going now." Dana declared, standing. Nicole looked up questioningly but did not hesitate to follow her. Zoey nodded quietly, still staring out at the sun light dancing over the ocean. Nicole jogged slightly to keep up with Dana. Once out of Zoey's earshot, Nicole shot a few questions at her friend.
"Why'd we leave? Why didn't Zoey come?" Dana hushed her with a quick reply.
"Because and because." She said sharply but quietly, nodding toward Chase, who was walking toward them. Nicole silence for a second, but only until Chase had passed them.
"How'd you know…?" Dana brushed the question off quickly.
"I know things." Nicole's eyes grew wider and she nodded. The rest of the walk to their dorm was silent.

Zoey drew her knees to her chest as her friends left, mesmerized by the ocean view. A cold costal wind nipped at her face, but she did not mind. She was happy, for the moment, even if she was alone. She closed her eyes and rested her head on her knees, listening to the waves rolling in and out. The sound could lull her to sleep right there, so peaceful and rhythmic. She felt someone sit down next to her and rolled her head up to see who it was.
"Oh, hi Chase." She said with a slight smile. He smiled back at her, but remained quiet. Feeling heat in her cheeks, Zoey glanced away. It was odd, that Chase made her blush. After all, they were just friends, right? She shook her head self-consciously.
"Something wrong?" Chase asked, looking at her.
"Wha… oh, no." She said quickly, picking her head up again and looking at him. She looked him in the eyes for a good while, finally pulling herself to sense. She did not want to look away from him, but she knew she was just setting herself up to be hurt. Chase was her friend, and nothing more. However, she merely silenced the voice in her head and did not look away, almost paralyzed with excitement and longing, and maybe even fear. She moved closer to him, quietly complaining about the cold. Although he seemed slightly shocked, he did not object. Gently resting her head on his shoulder, she fixated her gaze on the ocean again, although she could feel him staring at the back of her head. She was lost in it all; the sound of the ocean, the dimming light as the sun set, the fact that she and Chase where so close- it had a dreamlike atmosphere about it. The entire world stopped for them as he slid his arm around her waist. Zoey, for a moment, thought she could not be happier, but as she lifted her head to look at him, the content feeling dropped away. They were so close- and getting closer. Her heart leapt and started beating faster, and excitement rushed through her veins. There was warmth between them, Zoey couldn't feel the cold bite of the ocean breeze at all. She was breathing the same air as Chase, and it was intoxicating her. Their noses were touching now, and every waking second seemed to be hours to her, painfully slow. The distance between them was closing, but taking so long, it drove her insane. Finally, their lips met. As they kissed, Zoey described to herself as best she could. Words shot through her head; Fireworks, passion, happiness- but she settled on one that could sum it all up- Love. She loved him. And as they broke apart, she did not hesitate to tell him so. There was a long pause, but not the awkward sort that she had experience before. It was pleasant, and she knew what his next words would be long before he spoke them.
"I love you too."
