Tails' First Kiss

He knew it. No matter how much he tried to hide, or deny it, he still knew. He knew he was utterly, completely, totally, hopelessly in love. And he liked it. It made him complete. Happy. The times he'd look into her big, baby blue eyes or see her cute, dreamy smile spread across her face. He loved the times she'd whisper his name so carefully and gingerly, as though every syllable was a wounded dove she was caressing. She was so...graceful, like a ballerina or swan, no matter what she was doing. Oh, her jade hair complimented her creamy complexion, it was flawless. Exquisite. Perfection.
As if shattering him from his thoughts like a brick being hurled through a window, Cosmo delicately sat next to the two-tailed kitsune.
"Tails, are you okay?" She asked, genuine concern reflected in both her eyes and voice.
A light blush crept across his muzzle, knowing heat was rushing to his pale cheeks. Her voice captivated him. It was so sugary sweet, it was incomparable to even a thousand cookies and cupcakes.
"I-I'm fine, Cosmo, thank you." Tails replied, stammering as he admired her silently.
"I made some green tea. Would you like some? You have been working awfully hard on your inventions." Cosmo asked curtly.
"Yes please." The tan fox replied.
Cosmo left the room, the only sound being her emerald flats padding lightly across the cement floor. She re-entered with an ivory and navy tray, two steaming mugs perched on top.
Both Cosmo and Tails reached for the one on the right hand side and looked up to gaze into each other's eyes. Both sets of topaz orbs searched lovingly into each other, both moving their faces in inch by inch until lips met.
They fell into a deep, passionate kiss which held them in a trance. Cosmo dropped the tray, china shards and tea flew everywhere.
But neither broke away or cared.
They had each other.
That's all that mattered.
