Just when we entered the room, he ordered me to sit. I swear! It was all like "Sadie, sit down." And I was like "No, I prefer to be standing up," then he said, "Sadie, sit down, I said." So, I figured he was angry at me and I decided to sit.

"Sadie, I want to talk to you, about Anubis." He said.

"What about him?" I said. I bet I was blushing.

"Well, the fact that you kissed him, right under my nose." He said, matter-of-factly.

"Hey, it was him that started the kiss, not me!" I said. Bad move Sadie, now he's never going to want to talk to you for getting him in more trouble! Great, you are amazing Sadie. Just amazing.

"And if he started, why didn't you stop it."

"I don't know!"

"You're telling me you don't know?" he said.

"Yes, dad, I DO NOT KNOW." I yelled, I guess I shouldn't yell to a god, then again, he is also my father so I definitely can have a tantrum with him. It's part of the Daughter's unspoken rules.

"Sadie, do not yell at me." He said calmly

"Ugh! Parents are impossible!" I said, and stormed out of the room. Well, I was going to, but dad decided to make the door disappear. Lovely.

"Excuse me, young lady, but I will not tolerate you yelling at me, specifically after I told you not to. Sadie Kane, you are grounded for the next two weeks. No practicing magic, no laptop, no T.V., no colored hair-streak, no phone, no music, and no gum." At the last part I gasped in disbelief. Was he trying to kill me? I mean no magic? No problem, but no laptop, no T.V., no colored hair-streak, no phone, no music, and no gum? I am definitely going to die in the next two weeks.

"What? Just because I kissed a boy, and had a little tantrum? And I swear this is the first time this has ever happened because you were never around! You didn't even raise me! You didn't even send me a birthday present when I turned ten, which was very important for me. You don't know me!" I said, I swear, I deny saying that as soon as I did.

Then, dad gave a long sigh, "You are right Sadie, you may leave and meet your mother." He made the door appear again.

"I, I am sorry dad. I didn't mean what I said. I… I, sorry." I know the last bit didn't make sense,

"It's okay Sadie, go meet your mother."

"Dad, I am serious, I didn't mean what I said."

"Sadie, look. I just didn't thought you would start to fall for boys so young, specially a god. A god of the dead…"

"Um, sorry dad. I didn't mean to offend anyone, or you." I said, not knowing exactly what I had said.

"Sadie, you're not the one to say sorry, it is me. I'm sorry, I never have understood you, and I don't think I will." He said.

After that, I ran and tackled him in a hug, now I realize I hadn't hugged him since he went to visit me in visitation day.

Definitely this has been the worst Father's Day ever.

EPILOGUE:

"Dad… am I still grounded?" I asked all sweetly.

"Yes." He said.

"YOU SERIOUSLY WANT TO KILL ME, MAN!" I yelled, as if obvious, and left the room smirking.
