Aladdin was Jake's personal favourite, out of the Disney classics they watched. He and Rachel both wished that they had a genie and a magic carpet, granting them three wishes each. Rachel loved Jasmine, and was ecstatically happy when her father changed the law. As they watched Aladdin and Jasmine celebrate their engagement, Jake turned to Rachel.

"Are genies real?"

"I don't know... princes and princesses are real!" she said brightly. "So I think they are. But the rule was silly, that she couldn't marry who she wanted. People should get married because they love the other person".

"Yep", Jake agreed, staring adoringly at his best friend.

Rachel's father was horrified. "Are they talking about marriage?"

Grace Barton was calm. "They're six. And Rachel's already made it perfectly clear that she's going to marry who she wants".

"He's going to have to get past me first".

Dave Rafter was the protective father to the end, deeming all of Rachel's boyfriends, as she grew, completely inappropriate for his little girl.

But there was that one boy who he loved like a son, and, despite his reluctance, allowed her to walk down the aisle.
