I don't know where I am going with this...

For A New Tomorrow

Yukari sat on the next-to-last floor of Tartarus, making sure that her bow was in good shape.

She wasn't certain as to what would transpire in the upcoming battle - hopefully their last - as she watched Minato and Aigis converse in a corner, likely going over the strategy they, she and whoever ended up being the fourth member for this one final battle would be.

"Yukari."

"Yes, senpai?"

The redhead was looking at the brunette with a somewhat careful expression on her face. But she was used to it, for that look had been following her for the past month or so, ever since she started to show.

"Will you be...?"

The archer looked over at Aigis and Minato who also began to shoot questioning looks in their direction before forcing a smile for everyone looking at her in this very moment.

"Fine? Of course."

"Yukari-san."

The brunette looked up from the small human she was cooing at, to meet Aigis' questioning stare. Well that wasn't a big surprise, for this was the first time the humanoid Anti-Shadow weapon would have seen a baby. Much less sit through the long and tiring process of getting this baby born safe and sound in one of the Kirijo ran hospitals in the city.

"Yes, Aigis?"

"Is this...?"

"Hmmm.." Yukari hummed and, despite being tired, reached out to put the baby girl into the blonde's surprised arms. She watched in small amusement as the android made some funny motions before securely holding onto the baby. "... would you like to name her, Aunt Aigis?"

If she didn't know any better, the brunette could have sworn that the other girl had teared up there. Or maybe she did, for she grew more emotional over the past couple of months.

"Kotone. Kotone Arisato."

Today was January 31st, 2011.

As Aigis reached out for Yukari's hand, they both flushed a bit before smiling towards the small child, now taking her first unsure steps into the big, bright world awaiting her. All thanks to him. It was thanks to him that the two of them set aside their differences and grew a closer bond, too.

"Just like old times, huh, Aigis?"

"Yes, Yukari-san, indeed..."

"Do you think we should tell her one day...?"

"If she asks, if she wants to know... however, I do believe it's only right for her to know..."

"Agreed."

And with that, they sat back to watch little Kotone walk towards them, now more certain of each step she took towards the people who loved her.
