Summary: Takes place right after „En Ami"...There's nothing to talk about Scully. You lied to me, you broke my trust...and for what? Absolutely nothing! I can't believe you just drove off withhim...A very short Oneshot. MSR! Please R/R!
Forgiveness
„Mulder, talk to me" I said to him but he just shook his head.
„Please Mulder, let's talk about this" I begged.
„There's nothing to talk about Scully. You lied to me, you broke my trust...and for what? Absolutely nothing! I can't believe you just drove off with him..." He told me.
„Mulder, I'm sorry...I don't know what to say. I believed him..." I said softly. I could tell Mulder was beginning to get angry.
„How could you believe him?" He yelled.
„I don't know. He told me, that he was going to die and he was actually nice to me so I kinda felt sorry for him. Mulder, I told you I'm sorry. What do you expect me to do?"
„Nothing. You can't do anything..."
„What is that supposed to mean?" I asked
„I'm going home. I don't wanna talk about it now. Don't even try to call me...thanks!" He spat, annoyed as he turned around
That's it! Enough! I walked towards him and held him by his arm.
„Wait, Mulder! I know you're angry at me, it's okay...I understand but why are you acting like this? Why can't we talk about it?" I told him sofly as he turned around to look at me.
„You are right, Scully. I am angry...I never been this angry at you before. It was the most stupid thing you did in your live, I think. Yeah, it has to be for what could be more stupid than to drive off with him?"
His words hurt me. Why is he yelling at me like that? I felt tears welling up in my eyes...
„Why did you come here, Mulder? To hurt me? You succeeded. I just thought you would forgive me but obviously I was wrong..." I told him sobbing softly. I didn't care that I was crying in front of him. I wanted him to see the pain he caused me, so I just let my tears fall.
„Scully..." He whispered and reached out an arm.
„Don't! You can go now...I don't care anymore. I overrated our partnership and friendship...after all these years I finally got to see who you really are. I've always trusted you, Mulder. I've always respected you...I've always loved you. I want you to get out, now!"
I saw tears welling up in his eyes.
„Scully, please. Don't do this" He begged sadly.
„You were the one who yelled at me, Mulder." I reminded him.
„I was angry, I still am but what you just said...I don't want to leave you, Scully. I will forgive you, I promise...I just need some time. I don't wanna lose you, you mean too much to me. I love you. I can't help it...I love you."
I wiped away all my tears and looked deeply into Mulders eyes.
„I want to hold you" He said softly.
I was suprised at his words. I slowly walked towards him, my eyes never leaving his. He wrapped his arms around me and held me close. I trusted him and I am sure he'll learn to trust me again.
