The sounding of the bell above the door to the diner had Leo looking up from his name list of customers. He watched from his host stand as a tall, muscular, green-eyed terrapin wrapped in a heavy red coat, walked in from the cold of the New York city street.

"Welcome to Hamato Diner Sir." He greeted the turtle. "How many in your party?"

"Just one." The turtle replied as he surveyed the diner.

"It's a twenty minute wait for a table or I can seat you at the bar." Leo told him.

"The bar's fine."

Leo grabbed a menu and led the new customer to a seat at the bar, He smiled at the turtle as he handed him the menu. "Our waitress April will be with you in a moment. May I bring you something to drink?" Leo asked him.

"Ya got some beer?" The green-eyed turtle asked him.

Leo placed a drink menu in front of him.

"A bud." He said as he barely looked.

"Coming up." He said as he left and came back within a short time.

As Leo handed the beer to his customer, the other turtle looked up at him for the first time. "Thank you," He said as he stared at Leo. Their eyes locked onto each others and the green-eyed turtle smiled at him. Leo smiled back before walking away. The turtle pulled out a newspaper and began reading the employment section as Leo walked back to the host stand.

It was Friday evening and the diner was very busy. So busy, Leo had to call in his brothers to come and help. His brother Mikey was on the grill and Leo had called in Donnie to help out serving along with their friend April who was now taking the new turtle's order.

Leo continued to greet guest, serve, help at the cash register and assist in cleaning tables while at the same time he would occasionally glance at the new turtle. He couldn't help but notice that on occasion the new turtle would glance at him.

"Wow!" Mikey said to Leo at one point during the evening. "Dad's diner is really booming tonight!"

"Yeah!" Leo said with a smile as another customer paid their bill and left. "People really like your cooking Mike, dad's gonna be proud."

"It's nice to see so many people enjoy coming here." Donnie said as he put a menu away.

"Can't help but notice the new turtle keeps looking at you Leo." Mikey said with a grin.

"Or that you keep looking at him." Donnie teased.

Leo blushed before ordering his brothers to get back to work so he could assist another customer. By the end of the evening, almost all but a few customers had left and Leo realized that the green-eyed turtle was still in his seat slowly eating away at a cold plate of french fries that had come with his order.

"Will there be anything else?" April asked.

"One more beer please." He told her. "Who do I give my credit card to?"

"Leo will cash you out when your ready." She told him with a knowing smile as she gave him another beer.

The turtle took the beer and looked over to where Leo stood, he couldn't help but smile when he noticed Leo quickly turn his head when he had turn to look at him. The two had been playing that game all evening. He quickly finished his beer, left a nice tip for April and went over to the cash register by the host stand to give Leo his credit card.

"I hope you enjoyed your meal." Leo said as he looked at the credit card. "Raphael"

"Raph...and I'll probably be back." He said with a smirk and a twinkle in his eyes as he finished paying. "The foods really good and," His eyes looked intently at Leo,"I enjoyed the service, are you always here?"

"Every night." Leo told him with a blush.

"Well then, I'll definitely return." Raphael winked at him and walked out the door.
