Quite honestly, I'm not entirely sure what brought this on. I guess I just wanted to do something that didn't involve an OC for once... at least, not a fan character. The character is kinda an OC, but not really because it's an actual character from the show, but in a different setting... I don't know how to describe it. You'll understand when you read. Anyway, this was really just triggered by my desire to have something SetoKisara because I just can't find anything for them that I haven't already read. Plus, I think I took an... interesting route in the telling of this. Well, I hope you enjoy it and see the humor in it.
Disclaimer: I do not own YuGiOh or any of the characters.
There were some things that were just plain to see. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out every aspect of the world. Sometimes, it just took a good eye. Then, there were just some things that were obvious to even the densest of human beings.
-I think they're talking about you, Joey.
-Oh, hardy har, har.
-Will both of you quit it and let the narration continue?
-Alright, alright.
When Seto Kaiba met the Blue Eyes White Dragon in Ancient Egypt, he'd thought nothing of her. He believed her to be a figment of his imagination, the result of bad food before bed.
-"It's all a trick!"
-Hey, not bad, Tristan.
-Um, guys, I thought we weren't going to interrupt.
-Right. Sorry, Yug. Continue, narrator!
Years later, he had met a young woman with a gift for the Duel Monsters game. She'd been the champion of tournaments around the world. Perhaps that had been what had first attracted him to her.
-'Cause Kaiba'd only go after da best.
This woman was soft-spoken, never holding a conversation with her opponent. Many had believed it added to her ruthlessness. Quite the contrary, she was terrified of real conflict. She found joy in Duel Monsters because it was merely a game. She felt herself to be in no danger in playing, and never endangered her opponents.
-If only she knew…
-Don't interrupt, Tèa.
-Very funny, Tristan.
This woman was, in truth, quite the beauty as well. Her skin was pale, which was quite exotic considering her heritage. Wispy, long white hair framed her thin face, falling down her slender back and ended at her calves. Sapphires took the place of her eyes, contrasting stunningly with her otherwise pale features. Her name was Kisara Mubarak.
-And Kaiba fell head ova heels for 'er.
-Joey, you know it wasn't like that.
-Alright, he had ta duel 'er first. Den he fell.
One thing Seto Kaiba did not know, or refused to acknowledge, was now in who Kisara was, but who she used to be. Kisara Mubarak was not merely a talented young woman in Duel Monsters, but the reincarnation of the woman who was the very essence of Seto's favorite monster.
-He's in denial.
-Probably.
Would the ones who called Seto their friend ever tell him this about the woman he loved?
Yugi, Joey, Tèa and Tristan stared at what had been written before them. They all burst into laughter.
"Not in this lifetime!"
I never said I knew exactly what was going through my mind when I did this. Well, please R&R. I hope you coul, mostly, tell who was talking. I tried to use different clues to help without having to say the name in every line.
