"Jon-naaay, Jon! Jonathan!"The Riddler bounced up and down excitedly, cradling the tiny little balls in his hat.
"Eddie, whatever happened to going to get some mil-" he fought back the urge to "Aww" at the tiny little kittens the king of conundrum's arms. They looked from the same littler, as they were both jet black, with big green eyes. The only difference was one had a diamond on the center of its forehead, and the other had a smudge that looked like a question mark on its stomach.
'Too perfect' Jonathan thought to himself.
"Can we keep them?" Eddie asked, a big grin almost splitting his face in two.
"Oh...Eddie I don't know if we really have the time for pets…" Jonathan started saying. But Edward was giving him 'The face'. The face that always got him what he wanted no matter how ridiculous it was.
Jonathan huffed and crossed his arms. "Fine, but you have to take care of them."
Eddie's face fell. "Don't you want this one?" He held out the one with a diamond on its forehead.
At first Jonathan looked at the kitten…the kitten looked at Jonathan. Then he took the kitten and cradled it, finally giving into temptation. Who didn't like kittens?
Eddie beamed at him. "I'll call mine…Conundrum!" 'Big surprise there' Jonathan thought. But what was he to name his?
Jonathan thought for a second, staring at his kitten before saying finally;
"I'll call Poe."
