This is a story I thought of when listening to the song by the Jonas Brothers :Burnin' Up. I was thinking about TheShadowVigilante's story The Blue Cinderella in mind seriously go read it. Like after this.
He was fire, she was water. Total opposites. But then why was he attracted to her? This question pops up in his mind numerous times. She thinks she knows a lot about him, but in reality she knows nothing. Her emotions toward him change often forcing him to stay alert about her mood.
The Gaang wanted to have some fun so they left to a masquerade ball. Since they were in Zuko's Old beach house they were in the fire nation. SO they dressed like the natives, made masks and left.
At the party Zuko spotted Katara. His face got warmer as he blushed, she was wearing a red dress that complimented her figure with high heels to match. he tried to make his way over there but got caught in the wave of people heading the opposite way.
When he was able to get back in the room the first thing Zuko did was look for Katara. They stared at each other for a while until he approached her.
"Hey you seem lonely, mind if I tag along?"
"Yea sure I couldn't find anyone so I'm just watching"
"Well I think it's time to stop watching and join along," Zuko said with a smile, hand offered.
They danced for the longest while, It was slow and sweet. A fairytale dance. He loved the way she laughed, and she loved the way he was always so kind. He was warm against her. And he smelled like fire lotus' and ash, but in a good way. She always cooled him down, and she smelled like snow and roses. Eventually he walked her back to the beach house. Outside the door he stopped, "What happened exactly? If they ask I mean."
"Well we could tell them we got lost and found each other, then walked back." She got closer to him their faces mere inches apart. He closed the gap with a sweet kiss to the lips.
"SPARKY AND SUGAR QUEEN ARE KISSING!" Toph screamed out the window. Zuko and Katara pulled away a blush creeping over their faces.
"Wait if you can't see how could you tell?" Zuko inquired. "Simple, your tell-tale heart beats" Toph answered. Then Zuko lead Zatara into the house to confront toph about her 'eavesdropping'.
Thanks for reading! Who can guess some references I put in here? Not just the song's references.
