PROLOGUE – Temptation
Her lips. Her eyes. Her body. The sublime symphony of his breath and hers in rhythm, in mutual consensual passion as they rose and fell in time, rocked by the forceful waves of desire, each one crashing over them with a stronger undercurrent than the last, threatening to pull them both under; to drown them both in the embrace of the other.
Such unbridled passion burning between their chests released in a flurry of emotion, of lust, of longing. Longing…longing for the unknown, for escape, for understanding. Longing…as they desperately clutched at one another, sought one other, desperately searching out some lonely, missing part of themselves.
In the moment. Longing for each other. Then the moment was over.
Her body lay used at his disposal, in his arms. Her beautiful, slender young body. She trembled slightly as he ran his fingertips across her pale luminescent skin, still glistening with sweat in the evening sun, kissed her gently. Her short cerise locks glared red in his eyes, caught in the last intense burst of evening light through the window. He had wanted her. In that moment. But that moment was gone.
And so was he. Ignoring the call of her pleading eyes, he turned away without so much as a farewell and never came back.

A.N. I originally wrote and published a few chapters of this story, under the same title, a couple of years ago but was fairly unsatisfied with how I wrote it so I took it down and edited it heavily and am now republishing it. Tell me what you think.
