Try Being Sweet!

It was a nice day to do work in Kagome's room. Kagome's nice and _silent_ room which she could get her makeup work, that was caused by a _certain_ time traveling predicament, done.
Or, at least, the room _would've_ been silent if there hadn't been a _certain_ hanyou from the _certain_ time traveling predicament barging in and _demanding_ that Kagome come with him back to help make a _certain_ jewel whole that was the _certain_ cause of the _certain_ time traveling predicament.
"Wench, we're going."
"Osuwari," was her reflexive reply.
And down Inuyasha obediently went, though against his will, with the usual accompanying bark of 'bitch!'
Kagome kneeled next to him and remarked to his twitching ears.
"You catch more flies with sugar than vinegar, you know."
"Why would I _want_ to catch flies?" he sneered against the floor.
"It's the _principle_ of it," she rolled her eyes.
"Sure... and what's vinegar?" Inuyasha asked as he pulled himself up, off the ground.
Kagome mentally groaned. 'I should have known that he wouldn't know what vinegar was.'
"Let's put it this way; would you rather have something sweet or something bitter?"
"Sweet," he replied.
"Do you think _I_ would rather have something sweet or something bitter?"
"Sweet?"
"Yup!" Kagome applauded him, "Now, do the comments you give me seem sweet or bitter?"
He looked at her questioningly.
"...bitter?"
"Right, _now_ do you see the principle of it? If you want me to do something try asking _sweetly_ and not acting so _bitter_ towards me, deal?"
Inuyasha blinked. "I still don't see what _any_ of this has to do with flies."

A/N:: I had fun with this. It was inspired by my science teacher's comment to a student - a phrase using the saying of, 'You catch more flies with sugar than vinegar.' And so it spawned this little scene between Kagome and Inuyasha. This is supposed to be a one shot. however, if I think of any accompaniments I'll put them up here! Hope you enjoyed!
