I don't own any characters from the TLM. Enjoy and review!

"Mom-why did I have to have such a long name? It could have been Anne or Ray but nooo it had to be twenty two letters. And Ty Leo said that it was pathetic to have such a long name and I spent half the class writing my name."

"But Melody your name is beautiful! It might seem long now but you will get used to it." Ariel said.

"Easy for you to say-yours only has five. You didn't even have a middle or last name."

"Well my parents picked a name that went with my sisters and mother."

"Oh swell."

"Your dad has a middle name."

"Yeah makes a real difference! Eric Julian Parker. Sixteen letters all together."

"Then why don't I tell you where your name originated hmm?"

"Fine."

Six Years Ago:

Ariel protectively wrapped her arms around her infant daughter, whom she thought looked like an angel with her curly dark and innocent sea-blue eyes. Ariel sang softly and peacefully no matter how tired she was-but it was worth it. She lay the now sleeping baby in a carriage at the foot of her's and Eric's bed and collapsed in her own bed. Just then Eric came in and silently closed the door and looked happily in the carriage and smoothed his daughter's rosy check with his large index finger.

"So have you thought of any names yet?" He asked.

Ariel shrugged sleepily. "Nothing is coming to mind yet- but I want it to revolve around something that is a part of me and the sea."

"That's a tough-y. How about Shelly? You wore shells and shells are apart of the sea."

"Uh-lets go with something a little more elegant."

"Sure-um you like music. You sang under and above the sea."

"Yes- what can be a musical name?"

"Song, Bella Note?"

"How about Melody!"

"That sounds beautiful! Alright then Melody Parker it is!"

"But don't you want some-thing from your side as well?"

"Like?"

"Like something that represents you or your family."

"Okay-um how about my sister Evangeline! I love my sister and she is the closest thing to me."

"Excellent! Melody Evangeline Parker-that sounds beautiful for the princess of land and sea."

Eric hugged his wife and this time he went to silence the child to let his wife rest.

"I guess I have the most special name then eh?" Melody said to her parents.

"Yupp- your name includes the sea, the land and your aunt Eva." Eric smiled to his child who was now sitting in his lap in the study.

"So I guess now you can tell mister Ty how cool your super-duper long name is alright!" Ariel hugged her daughter before she took-off.
