You Belong To My Heart
Every night in my dreams you're mine
And every day in my mind

It was almost twelve in the afternoon. Lunch time. Hinata is walking along the busy streets of Konoha making her way to the Hyuuga compound where she will join her father for lunch. She was not really on a hurry since she knew that her father had a meeting with the other family heads concerning the issues of the clan. Those meetings took a lot of time she knew that since this is not the first time they had those meetings.
Hinata is feeling a bit tired, after all, she just had a training session with her teammates. Besides that, she was on two consecutive missions outside of the village. She barely got time for her to relax. Just across the street she saw Konohamaru walking while carrying a basket of fruits. She smiled and waved at him and konohamaru just smiled back before continuing to his path.
Seeing Konohamaru reminds her of Naruto. Those two are alike in some aspects and that made Hinata's smile wider. It's been a while since she last saw Naruto. She heard from Kiba that since Sasuke returned three months ago and after his trial and punishment, Team 7 has been assigned on various missions as well, making it impossible for her to see him.
She stopped by a pastry shop to buy some dessert for her father and sister. She waits on a table near the window for her purchases. She observed the people passing by and then her gaze went to the restaurant across the street. There she saw Naruto laughing animatedly with Sakura, their lunch in front of them. Sasuke was also there, listening to whatever the two were talking about.
Hinata can't help but be a little jealous whenever she sees Naruto and Sakura together. It doesn't matter if Sakura already assured her that there is nothing romantic going on between her and Naruto, it was just this feeling she got that Sakura always holds a special place in Naruto's heart.
It's true that Naruto and she are much closer now compared to the relationship they had when they were younger. And from that she wishes that it would be better. She just needs a little bit more of confidence. With that in mind, she decides today would be another opportunity to do that. So she cross the street and enters the restaurant and stopped by the table that Naruto's team is occupying.
Sakura noticed her first and motioned for her to join them. Hinata greeted them before she sat next to Sakura facing Naruto. Naruto took the liberty of calling the waiter and placed an order for her. Hinata just smiled at him thinking that he is just sweet like that. When her lunch is served on the table Naruto began rambling again about anything that crosses his mind, his attention is on Hinata and she is just happy listening to him while thinking that she would miss another lunch with her father. But right now, it's alright.
a/n: I'm not so much of a Naruto/Hinata fan but I think they're cute.
I'm not really updated with the manga and I'm just wondering, is there a scenario where Sasuke and Sakura actually engaged in a fight? Just curious. Thanks for reading!!
