Author's Note/Disclaimer: Hey Riri-chi here! So I would like to say Happy Birthday to Utau Hoshina or some like to say: Utau Tsukiyomi.. and even Kutau fans like to add in the Utau Souma. xD Anyways, this is a small drabble in honor of her birthday. I do not own anything. ^^
The words in her heart roam like a sweet yet soft melody. Her song chimes and echos throughout her body and she brings out her own light to radiate among others. However, a feeling surpasses all of that and becomes the main trigger of her problems.
Ah, love. Such an exquisite thing, isn't it? For Utau, maybe not so much. The burning passion and desire for her own kin to love her back is all that she ever wished for. Indeed, he did love her. Yet it isn't the type of love that he feels for her. It's not the type of love she was wanting.
Utau knew that she must face the facts of life and move on. Her own brother, Ikuto, the one she loved... didn't love her. His eyes were always set on her- Amu Hinamori.
Oh how Utau hated that. She hated how one single girl came into Ikuto's life and dramatically changed everything. Did her caring and kindness just get blown off? Was being in Ikuto's life the whole time... not enough? She smacked every desperate bug clinging onto Ikuto but Amu just stayed.
Oh but what is this? A rusty-haired boy decided to waltz his way into Utau's heart. That silly grin and one thumb up just pissed Utau off so much. Yet the reality exploded when she discovered his desires for ramen. And thus began the era of ramen contests.
The feelings for Ikuto still didn't disappear even if Kukai, the rusty-haired boy, was in Utau's life. Just like always, Kukai always had a solution.
He gave her love. He gave her everything she wanted. He patched the broken pieces and mended them back to let her heart be whole again.
Even if they did have playful attitudes at times or even be competitive during ramen contests, Kukai knew what Utau was feeling. A connection rose from beneath and a new love was born.
You may not see it at times but they really do love each other. A whole lot now. Yet sometimes Kukai can get jealous of Ikuto but Utau knows why.
After all, she does have a heart of an idol.
