Marry Me Kayo
"She loves me she loves me not" Scott Tracy said to himself within his head over and over again. As he looked at the engagement ring he got for his girlfriend Kayo. It made Scott smile and it would look great on Kayo's finger and this ring was worth every penny in Scott's opinion. Suddenly there was a knock on Scott's bedroom in a bit of a panic Scott wondered where he could hide the ring. "Oh to hell with it" Scott said to himself as he hid the ring under his pillow. "Come in?" Scott said as Virgil entered his room "Seriously Scott!?" Virgil entered his room closing his eyes and gesturing to the way he was dressed.
"What!" Scott said as he looked down at himself. Scott Tracy was simply dressed in only his boxer back up at Virgil Scott said "Did you just come here to tell me how to dress?""No smart ass" was Virgil's reply I was just wondering when you were going to pop the question to Kayo yet. When Scott didn't say anything at first; Virgil was getting rather suspicious. Scott watched as Virgil placed his hands on his hips and looked at Scott and said "You did get the ring right moron?" "Of course I did" Scott hissed at Virgil looking around to make sure the close was clear before sticking his hand under his pillow.
Pulling the ring box out from under the pillow he opened it up and showed Virgil the ring. Then another voice caught Scott and Virgil Tracy off guard but that voice made Scott Tracy's blood run cold. Seconds later Kayo appeared at Scott's bedroom door and said "Is everything alright in here boys?" Quickly hiding the ring behind his back Scott said "Yeah everything's fine right Virgil?" "Yeah Kayo if only this jackass here would just" before Virgil could say anything he felt someone pinched his backside. That caused Virgil to openly glare at Scott Kayo was wondering what was going on with Scott and Virgil.
She eventually shrugged it off as nothing and thought nothing else of it. As the weeks wore on and much to Virgil Tracy's dismay Scott still hadn't proposed to Kayo yet. Scott meanwhile was in Brains lab listening to Brains going over statistics of their latest rescue mission. Alan, Virgil, John, Brains and Kayo would also be along for the ride. As Brains was telling everyone what he found Scott could feel Virgil's eyes drilling into the back of his head. But he did his best to ignore for the time being but Scott knew in his heart he couldn't keep doing that forever.
"Umm earth to Scott come in Scott" Scott Tracy was broken out of his thoughts by Virgil waving his hand in front of his face. "Ugh" was Scott Tracy's only response rolling his eyes Virgil says "Are you coming or what Scott your our team leader after all?" "Oh yeah coming" Scott said as he ran after Virgil just as the pair was about to leave Brains lab. Scott held back a bit before saying to Virgil "Hey Virg I'll catch up with you guys in a few minutes ok." Sighing once again Virgil gave in and said "Oh alright but don't take ok." Once Scott made sure Virgil was truly gone he went back over to Brains; and quickly explained the situation as well telling would he mind keeping an eye on the ring as well as not say anything to Kayo about.
Before Brains could say anything Scott Tracy was gone as Brains made his way back over to his desk. "Ok I guess" was all Brains said to where Scott once stood. "Your usually ahead of us giving orders so what gives Scott" Kayo said to her boyfriend from Shadow. "Um well I don't know?" was all Scott could say. Then Kayo's hologram appeared in Scott's cockpit "Scott is everything alright with you?" "Kayo I am fine really don't worry about me ok" was all Scott said.
That didn't ease Kayo's fears one bit because lately she noticed how distant Scott seemed and that had her worried. Plus she had a feeling that she might not seeing Scott again. "You ok Kayo?" Scott asked his girlfriend softly. "Yeah I am fine Scott thanks will talk later ok" Kayo said quickly cutting the transmission. "Yeah" was all Scott said as he watched Kayo's transmission cut out. Seconds later another transmission came through and this time it was from Virgil who didn't look happy at all. "First of all why haven't you popped it yet?" Virgil asked.
"Popped what Virgil?" Scott asked innocently even though he truly knew what Virgil was on about."WHAT!" Virgil shouted at Scott you've got to be kidding me. Virgil shook his head and semi begin to wonder what type of a brother he had or if Scott Tracy was truly his brother."I still need time…." Scott started to say before Virgil cut him off by saying "Look Scott if you don't propose to Kayo soon I'll tell her myself." Scott Tracy growled and said "Don't you dare!" and with that Scott cut Virgil's transmission. Well that was easy Scott thought to himself as he continued on to the rescue location.
Once Scott,Virgil, Alan and Kayo arrived at the rescue site. Brains would be assisting from his lab; and John would be assisting from thunderbird five. Scott, Virgil, Alan and Kayo had to rescue some archaeologists who were buried deep underground. Alan and Kayo noticed right away that Scott and Virgil weren't talking and that had them both worried. "This is going to be a long mission" was all Alan Tracy said as he walked past Kayo and into one of thunderbirds two pods. Kayo barely heard a word Alan said as she watched Virgil and Scott begrudgingly work together.
She knew there was something going to between the pair for the last couple of months. Kayo knew there was a time and place for everything. But trying to figure out what was going on between Scott and Virgil wasn't her top priority right now getting this mission complete was. But Kayo still couldn't shake that fear she once had on the way to the rescue. The one where she might not see her boyfriend Scott Tracy ever again. A little while later after the last archaeologist was rescued and was being checked over by Virgil and found to be ok like the rest minus some cuts and bruises. Kayo ran over to Virgil panic written all over her face; desperately asking where Scott was.
To which Virgil replied that he wanted to stay down there to make sure no one else was trapped. Kayo didn't like the sound of that one bit. As she peered into the hole she hoped Scott was alright since you couldn't see anything in the hole because it was pitch black. As Scott watched the last archaeologist get hauled away to safety he was satisfied that the rescue went smoothly. But something was just nagging at the back of Scott Tracy's head scratching his chin; he said to no one in particular this rescue was to easy it was almost like it was set up. "That's because it was Mr. Tracy."
Scott whipped around as soon as he recognized that familiar voice; and he came face to face with the Hood." "And what are you doing here?" Scott snarled at the Hood. Twiddling his thumbs innocently enough as he looked around; then in a twisted smile the Hood said once again looking at Scott "I am here to cause you and the others their doom and finally get my hands on your thunderbird tech." "Never!" Scott growled as he lunged as the Hood and the two began to tussle each trying to gain the upperhand. Suddenly Scott slipped and hit his head on a rock nearby; and just as he was about to blackout the last thing he saw was the Hood escaping getting airlifted to safety. Scott then laid their unconscious as debri crumbled around him.
Alan, Virgil and Kayo heard all the commotion and wondered what was going on. Seconds later they saw the Hood fly away to safety and Scott nowhere in sight. The three just glared as they watched in disgust as the Hood flew flew away. "Um guys where is Scott?" Alan asked. Nobody said a word as their blood ran cold looking around quickly Kayo saw no sign of Scott. Making her think that her worst fears came true now she only hoped that Scott was alive and not dead.
As Scott came to he could hardly move see or even breath. But he knew in times like this there was no need of panic because it would get him nowhere. It would only get him more stressed out and make things worst; as Scott tried to remember what happened all he could remember was it had something to do with the Hood. That's all Scott remembered before he blacked out once again. Above ground however Kayo, Alan and Virgil were doing everything in their power to rescue Scott; Brains and John pitching in whenever they could. Kayo meanwhile was trying to keep herself calm and focus on the task at hand.
After hours of back breaking work Kayo, Alan and Virgil somehow managed to rescue Scott; out of the pit of despair. The three of them were currently in the hospital waiting for some news about Scott's condition. Every now and again Virgil would check in with Brains, John, Grandma, Penelope and Parker keeping them updated with everything that's all going on. Kayo was the only one awake when the doctor came out of surgery. As soon as Kayo saw the doctor she was out of her seat in almost a flash; shooting question after question at the doctor. The doctor laughed and assured Kayo that Scott was fine.
He slipped into a coma and when Kayo asked the doctor how long. The doctor simply answered as gently as he could he didn't know how long that Mr. Tracy could be out for. So it was all up to Scott to come true with a miracle. When Virgil finally came to he noticed that Kayo was no longer sitting next to him. Virgil then began to wonder where could Kayo have disappeared to. After a few more minutes of thinking it finally dawned on Virgil as he smacked his hand into his face. Groaning to himself Virgil gently woke Alan up and told him to be quiet.
As Virgil and Alan made there way to Scott's hospital room. Once there Virgil peeked inside and saw Kayo fast asleep at his brothers bedside; holding his hand for comfort and reassurance. Not wanting to wake Kayo and/or Scott Virgil made his way back to the waiting area. Virgil then sensed that Alan wasn't behind him and when he turned around and looked Virgil found out that he was right. Just as Alan was about to sneak into Scott's hospital room; Virgil quickly pulled him away. Just as Alan was about to protest but quickly shut up by the glare Virgil gave him.
So far however Virgil was honoring his end of the bargain by not letting the cat out of the bag to Kayo about her engagement ring. Sure he understood that his brother was nervous about proposing who wouldn't. The only thing that annoyed Virgil was how long Scott was taking to propose. Also everyone and not just Virgil knew that Kayo by now knew something was up again Virgil wouldn't blame her. He just hoped that once Scott came out of his coma that maybe he'd learn a couple of lessons he wouldn't forget. Along with maybe trying to figure out how he was going to propose.
After what seemed like forever Scott Tracy finally came out of his coma. Everyone was extremely happy for him especially Kayo. After a few months of rest and physical therapy Scott Tracy was back in shape and ready for action. But not if Kayo had anything to say about it behind closed doors she could tell Scott was still in pain. Despite telling everyone else around him he wasn't. Where ever Scott went Kayo wasn't to far behind as she was keen to keep a hawks eye on Scott Tracy.
Back on Tracy Island a few days later Virgil entered Brains lab; to ask him did he have any idea where Scott was. Brains then proceed to tell Virgil that Scott came into the lab earlier to retrieve Kayo's engagement. Virgil could feel his blood began to boil but he was able to calm himself down somehow. Brains somehow sensing Virgil's anger continued by saying he also took thunderbird one out to do some sky writing. "Ugh?" was all Virgil said that surprised him. As ran up to the window in Brains lab and just as Brains had said Virgil saw thunderbird one high in the skywriting "Will You Marry Me Kayo?" high in the sky for all to see.
Before Brains and Virgil could say anything else. The pair heard a lot of commotion down stairs in the living quarters of Tracy Island. Both Brains and Virgil knew that voice very well and she didn't sound too happy at all. Seconds later a rather enraged looking Kayo stepped into Brains lab; causing the two men to cringe because they never seen Kayo this angry before. Looking over at Brains and Virgil Kayo asked the two men did they know where Scott was. After a few moments of silence Kayo said once again "well did either one of you see Scott I am waiting?!" Just as Kayo was about to leave Virgil told her to look out the window.
Still peeved about Scott disappearing on such short notice. Kayo wouldn't mind that at all but he was in no shape to fly in thunderbird one yet; and now she was told by Virgil to look out the window that had her curiosity peaked to say the least. So when Kayo looked out the window and up into the sky and particular what was written in the sky. Whatever anger Kayo had left the building as both Virgil and Brains watched as Kayo ran out of the lab down to where the thunderbirds were kept. I have never seen a women change so quick in my life; neither have I Brains neither have I Virgil replied as both he Brains looked at the door that Kayo just vacated. Meanwhile down at the hangers as Scott Tracy was returning thunderbird one to her hanger.
He just hoped that his personal nurse Kayo didn't know he was gone to long though because if she did there would be hell to pay. Before Scott could say or do anything else Kayo came running into the hangers hugging Scott Tracy to death. Scott however was trying to remind Kayo about the pain he was in. Kayo immediately apologized and then whispered into Scott's ear "Yes I'll marry you." Not believing his ears Scott asked Kayo to repeat it which she did just to make sure he heard right. Pulling away from Scott Kayo gently pushed him towards the elevators in the hanger to the lounge area. "Come on fly boy I want my ring already!" Kayo said chuckling a bit. Laughing with her Scott said "Ok I am going I am going."
