Cedric watched amusedly as Princess Sofia was being spun around the ball room rather clumsily. The young princes had obviously not paid attention in their dancing classes. A small chuckle escaped his lips as a prince he didn't know almost crashed himself and Sofia into the refreshments table.

"I think I'm going to get a drink now, Desmond. Thank you for the dance." Sofia bowed to the boy and walked to where he was standing, right by the punch bowl.

"Hello Mr. Ceedric! I'm so glad you could make it!" The young woman quipped up at him with her usual smile.

"Yes well, couldn't miss my favorite apprentice's graduation ball could I?" He asked with a smile a he poured a cup of punch and handed it to the young lady, who took at gratefully.

"I'm your only apprentice Mr. Ceedric!" Sofia said with a giggle taking a sip of her punch.

"Shoe in to win that title then." He smirked at her and got himself a cup of punch. His mouth seemingly drier suddenly.

Sofia laughed and beamed up at him. "Dance with me, Mr. Ceedric."

Cedric almost choked on his drink. "Sofia, I would, but I do not dance." He looked at her, and wished he hadn't. "Don't give me that look Princess."

Sofia pouted her lip further. He usually couldn't tell her no if she did this. Tonight he was fighting it though. "Please, Mr. Ceedric? Just one? I only graduate once you know..." She hung her head and looked hopefully up at him.

"... I don't dance... But given the circumstance, just one." He bowed and offered her his hand, which she gladly took.

Cedric led the young lady out to the dance floor. He held her hand and hesitantly put his hand on her hip. She responded by putting her free hand on his shoulder. Their eyes met as the music started, and off they went. Swirling around the dance floor, they looked the picture of grace. Moving in sync with each other, each foot in the right place, each movement precise. Cedric chuckled lightly as they spun.

"What's so funny Mr. Ceedric?" Sofia enquired, looking worried at his chuckle.

"I don't dance, Princess, but here I am. Spinning you round and round again. It's kinda funny, the things you get me to do." He looked down at her with a gentle smile on his face. She smiled back and he pulled her a little bit closer.

"Yes it is silly. I often wondered why myself. I wonder how far you would go." Her eyes sparkled as she looked at him. Wondering if he'd say something and respond to her statement. He smiled and spun her around a few times more. Soon, much too soon, the song ended and Cedric was bowing to her. Gently kissing her hand.

"Princess, I'd do anything with you anywhere." Her face lit up at his words.

"Let's start tonight. Anything, anywhere!"

"Just as long as we don't dance." Her laughter rang out through the ball room.
