Summary: Liv's
working undercover and Alex tracks her down. OA
Disclaimer: they're
not mine, and I'll return them as soon as I'm done.
Olivia sighed and pulled the edge of her apron straight. Undercover work wasn't supposed to be this boring. She wandered around the store for a bit, then found herself straightening the towels. She bit back another sigh when someone stepped up next to her.
"Stop sighing Mel, Annie's been glaring at you all shift," the younger woman told her. Liv looked over at her 'boss' at the main cash desk. Yep, Annie was definitely glaring at her, but not for the reason Emily thought, not entirely at least. Liv actually liked Emily, but she wasn't about to break her cover to explain the situation to her. Emily wasn't in any real danger anyway. So instead she just nodded her thanks to Emily and went back to folding the towels into neat little lines.
"Liv," a voice whispered next to her ear. Olivia almost hit her head on the shelf above her in surprise.
"Alex!" she said smiling, then her face creased with worry that she quickly tried to hide, "what are you doing here?" she asked as she pulled Alex down an aisle towards the back for more privacy.
"Just came to see you. It's been awhile," Alex looked down at her nametag, "Mel."
"How'd you know where I was?" Liv didn't find this nearly as amusing as Alex did.
"I have my ways."
"You bugged Munch 'til he told you, didn't you?"
"Yep," she beamed. Alex gave Olivia's outfit a once over, one eyebrow raised.
"So…" Olivia said self-consciously, smoothing out the apron she was forced to wear.
"So…" Alex said suggestively, nodding her head towards the Staff Only door Liv had inadvertently led them to. Liv looked around to see if they had an audience, and almost yelped when Alex pulled her into the stock room.
Liv came up for a breath,
"My break's not for another 20 minutes," she said while Alex kissed up her jaw line.
"Think they'll notice you missing?" she asked between kisses. The door opened then, effectively answering her question.
"Hey Mel," Emily called as she walked in, "are you in-oh!…Sorry…never mind," Emily ducked back out.
Liv stood still, a little stunned, her arms holding Alex loosely. Alex just tried to hold her giggles in.
"Thank you and have a nice day," Liv said professionally to Alex, handing her her small purchase with a wink.
"Thanks, you too," Alex responded with a smile and a nod, equally professional. Alex took her time leaving and only broke eye contact with Liv once to give Emily a quick wink. Emily wandered up to the cash desk afterwards,
"You're a lucky woman, Mel," she said.
"Yes, I am," Liv said, smiling.
