Picture perfect memories, scattered all around the floor
Reachin' for the phone 'cause I can't fight it anymore
And I wonder if I ever cross your mind
For me it happens all the time
It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you now
Said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now
And I don't know how I can do without, I just need you now
Another shot of whiskey, can't stop looking at the door
Wishing you'd come sweeping in the way you did before
And I wonder if I ever cross your mind
For me it happens all the time
It's a quarter after one, I'm a little drunk and I need you now
Said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now
And I don't know how I can do without, I just need you now
Guess I'd rather hurt than feel nothin' at all
It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you now
And I said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now
And I don't know how I can do without, I just need you now
I just need you now, oh, baby I need you now...
Siobhan sat on the couch, her knees clutched to her chest. It was a quarter after one, and she was all alone. Tears escaped her eyes as she recalled the memories between her and Didi Benami - her girlfriend - and she found them to be picture perfect.
She reached over to grab her phone and dialed the familiar number of Didi. She promised herself when Didi walked out that she wouldn't resort to calling her; but she had to. She couldn't fight the urge anymore.
In the back of her mind, she wondered deeply if Didi ever thought of Siobhan. If the thought of Siobhan ever crosses her mind; simply because it always happens to her. Siobhan can't go an hour without thinking of the blue-eyed blonde.
I need you now, she whispered as she set down the phone.
Didi sat at the bar and she brought her martini glass to her lips; sipping it quickly, allowing it to wash down her throat and let the lump that's been sitting there fade. She looked suddenly at the door, remembering the
last fight her and Siobhan had had. Siobhan followed her to the bar.
She stumbled upwards and saw the clock. A quarter after one. She really wished Siobhan could come pick her up. She reached for her phone and dialed the number, losing control when she heard Siobhan's voice mail. Her voice.
I need you now, she whispered into the phone.
Siobhan walked out of the house, the same moment Didi walked out of the bar. Their hearts both hurt. They were both in pain. Better than feeling nothing at all, right? Siobhan looked at her watch and it was still one. Didi looked at her watch, same result.
I need you now, they whispered in unison as they met halfway from the bar and from Siobhan's house.
They hugged tightly, whispering to each other. Baby, I need you now.
