AN: My first foray into Sailor Moon fanfiction - characters are not mine.
She screamed again as the pain ripped through her. She was utterly helpless, and that's what her attacker had been intending. She couldn't even transform, due to the way her arms were tied behind her back. Damn it, but this shouldn't happen to a Sailor Scout.
After he finished, he laughed as he cut the ropes and she collapsed into a heap. She didn't have the strength left to fight him, but she could call the others. It was too late though – he'd already left. Opening her communicator, she wondered who to call. Not Serena, obviously, she'd never understand. Lita would go tearing off trying to find the guy and beat him into a pulp, and she'd been at the mercy of Mina's attempts to help before. That left Raye, the priestess, Sailor Mars. Raye would help. Taking as deep a breath as she could manage, she opened a line to Raye's communicator.
"Ami? What's wrong?"
"I… I need you to come get me – I don't think I could walk anywhere."
"What's happened, did a monster show up?"
"Not exactly, no. please, Raye."
"I'll be right there."
True to her word, it wasn't long before she arrived. One look at Ami was all it took for her to work out what had happened. With the blood still trickling down her thighs, and numerous bruises covering the rest of her body, it was obvious this had been a particularly violent attack. There had actually been a series of violent rapes in Tokyo recently, but so far the senshi hadn't managed to work out if it was yet another Negaverse plan, or simply a human who needed to be imprisoned.
"Can you walk? Here, you can lean on me."
Ami gratefully grasped Raye's hand, and stumbled to her feet. They managed to find a taxi, and were back at the shrine within minutes.
"I'll run the bath for you – I expect you'll want to get clean."
"Thank you."
Ami's trembling hands struggled to remove the remains of her tattered clothes, and she was relieved when Raye placed her hands over Ami's own, steadying them. Once in the bath, Ami burst into tears, tears she'd been holding in since the attack had begun.
"Ami, it's alright now, you're safe."
"Stay here Raye, please. I don't… I don't want to be alone."
"I'm not going anywhere, not if you don't want me to."
It should have felt awkward, being completely naked in front of another person, but somehow it didn't. Ami knew she would be protected here – Raye was already setting up her spiritual wards, which were far more effective than any physical barrier.
"Raye?"
"Yes, Ami?"
"Thank you."
"Well, what was I supposed to do, leave you there? You're a friend, I couldn't do that."
Ami blushed, but it was true. She'd have done the same for any of the senshi – they all would.
"I just needed to say it, that's all."
As she clambered awkwardly out of the bath, Raye enveloped her in a hug.
"Will you be ok?"
"I will be, yes. Once I find him and teach him a lesson."
"Now you sound like Lita, out for revenge."
They laughed, but it soon turned into a yawn.
"We can go looking tomorrow. Right now, it's time for bed."
"I (yawn) agree with that."
They ended up sharing a bed, simply because Ami felt safer knowing that someone was there, someone she trusted.
AN: I don't know what part of my twisted little mind came up with this, but do let me know what you thought.
