Draco's pockets were full of apples, two were crammed into each pocket and his bag full of them. Crabbe and Goyle were the only ones aware of his obsession, and they liked to pretend it didn't exist.

Draco curled up by the lake, to enjoy the warm weather and eat his apples when a shadow fell over him. Scowling, he looked up.

"Potter, go away."

But Harry smirked and sat down next to him.

"What is it with you and apples, Malfoy?"

He felt his face heat up but instead of replying, Draco shot him a dirty look and bit into one of the apples. Maybe if he ignored him, Potter would get bored and leave.

"Hey!" He yelped, bits of apples spitting out of his mouth. Potter had just grabbed his entire bag and was stepping away with his wand out.

"This bag is full of apples, Malfoy! Do you eat all of these in one day?"

"It's none of your business!"

"Fine, don't tell me but if you want these back I'm going to need something."

He sighed and glared at Potter. He wasn't quick enough to draw his wand, but he really wanted to torture Potter at this point. Harry stepped closer, holding the bag behind him, wand out in front until he was toe to toe with Draco, the wand tip at his throat.

"Kiss me."

"WHAT?" Draco yelled.

"Or these go in the lake."

"You're barking."

"Perhaps," Harry said with a smile. "Do you wanna loose all your precious apples?"

"You're a sick, you should get help."

"I wonder if the Giant Squid-"

But Draco launched himself forward in panic, finding he molded into Harry surprisingly well.

The Gryffindor wrapped his arms around him, pulling him closer until Draco finally pulled away. Then he shoved the bag back into Draco's hands. Draco fled, snatching his bag out of Harry's hands and ran.

He heard Potter shout, "Do you have apples in your pockets too?" but he was too mortified to stop. His heart hammered until he got to the dungeons and threw himself onto his bed. He pulled his bag close. What was that? Some kind of joke?

He heard the door open and sat up. It was Pansy.

"Are you being chased?"

"No," he said miserably and buried his face into his bag. He could smell the apples.

"So why did you run in here? You look terrified."

"Leave me alone," he cried. "I just need time to think!"

She huffed and through her hands up.

"Fine, I'll check on you later."

But as soon as the door shut there was a tapping on the window. Draco got up with a grunt and threw the window open. A school owl had a small package that it held out on it's leg. He pulled it off and opened it.

There was a green apple. His face flushed again. He picked up the note that accompanied it.

"Malfoy, I didn't mean to scare you. I have more apples if you would agree to meet me in the Room of Requirement.

Potter"
