Chapter One: Uninvited Guests.
"Don't worry, we'll be there soon. Just hold on, for a little while more."
"Sawada Tsunayoshi. How do you expect to defeat the Millefore, to defeat Byakruan, if you CAN'T EVEN CONTROL YOUR BOX WEAPON?" Lal Mirch shouted.
It was a mark of how strict she was with her student, Tsuna, that she was kneeling there on the ground in the training room, watching him practice with his weapon, even though she could hardly stand up.
"I'm sorry I'm sorry! I'll try again!" Tsuna stammered. Partly because he didn't want to rouse Lal Mirch into another coughing fit, and partly because.. well, he wasn't really in a state to talk at the moment. He was charred, he was tired, he could barely talk, much less train with his box weapon another time.
But he knew, this was no time for rest. The battle, Choice, was going to begin in just a week's time. There was no time to relax and slowly train up. There was no time to complain. Everyone else was training, as well. Gokudera, Yamamoto, Hibari, Ryohei, Chrome, Basil.. everyone.
So, after going into dying will mode once more, he opened the Vongola Box Weapon. Again.
Lal Mirch and Reborn watched with slight approval as Tsuna flew with his dragon, the box weapon he was given. A strong weapon which shared and projected Tsuna's emotions, the dragon roared his impatience and desperate desires to better himself before the battle. Together, the two of them soared.
They weren't half bad, actually. But it won't be enough to defeat Byakuran, who had reduced Mukuro to a wreck without taking a scratch. Not to mention, his Six Funeral Wreaths.
It was then, that the alarm sounded.
"Juudaime! The alarm! There're intruders stationed outside Gate A!" Giannini said over the headphones into Tsuna's ears. At that moment, Gokudera and the others poured into the Training Room, all of them looking slightly injured in the course of their training. But they were determined.
"Juudaime, don't worry. We'll get rid of the intruders for you." Gokudera promised. He looked a little strained, though. All of them did, except maybe Lambo, who was happily prancing about.
"No, Gokudera-kun. It's alright. We'll face them together. Giannini already has some devices in place to keep the intruders out, at least for a while." They went to the control room, where Giannini was, to get ready.
"Can you identify them, Giannini?" Reborn asked as they stepped in.
"Yes, one of them. It's Gamma of the Black Spell, Juudaime. But.. there's something weird going on. Look closer and you'll see." Giannini enlarged the video feed from one of the cameras outside their hideout, where it was projecting an image of the intruders.
It showed Gamma, being supported by a much younger girl.
"That bastard.." Gokudera growled when he saw Gamma. "I suppose he survived that fight, too. But who's that girl with him? And what's she holding..?"
They looked closer. And then stared in shock. The girl was holding up a ring.
A Vongola ring.
Reborn looked at the feed, thinking. Then the slightest smile crossed his face.
"Finally. Let's go meet them then, Tsuna."
"But.. Wha.. Vongola ring?! Why is there an eighth ring? Why is there an eighth Guardian? What's going on, Reborn?" Tsuna asked, voicing out the question that was in everyone's minds.
Who was that girl?
Yup, that's about it for the first chapter.
