Disclaimer: Hey guys! I got this idea tonight when I was with my friend and thought I'd share it. It should be about thirty or so chapters, one for each day. You'll see why. I do not own Harry Potter!
"Harry?" Scorpius peered around the open doorway to Harry's study. Not looking up from his paper, Harry motioned for the boy to come in. "Can I ask you something? It's really important."
"Anything, Scorpius, what's up?" Harry asked. He put down the Prophet after hearing Scorpius's voice crack with worry. Scorpius rubbed his hands together; the gold watch Lily had given him for his twentieth birthday glinting in the light. He and Harry's daughter, Lily, had been together four years, five next month.
"I'd like your permission to marry your daughter," the words spilled out of his mouth. Harry felt his face burn. His daughter marry Scorpius Malfoy? Now, Harry approved of Scorpius. In fact, he was thrilled when Lily brought him home two weeks after her fifteenth birthday proclaiming that they had begun dating that day. He's a fine boy, and truly cared for Lily. He never held his being a Malfoy against him.
"No."
"Thank you, sir! You- wait, what?" Scorpius's eyes went wide.
"Scorpius, one day you'll be famous. And with fame in your Quidditch career, you'll be away a lot. Signings, games and practices away from Ireland, it'll be stressful and keep you away from home! What if you two decide to have a family? Lily's a budding writer at the Prophet, who will watch the kids?" Harry played. Scorpius blinked. He didn't care!
"Harry please! I'll quit Quidditch! I will keep my nose clean, hell, I'll even quit smoking! Anything, please!" Scorpius begged. Harry sat up; he had a plan.
"I'll make you a deal, Malfoy. Take a seat," Harry conjured a chair for Scorpius to sit in, and the boy obeyed. "If you can prove to me that you can be a supportive husband for my daughter and keep your Quidditch career in the air by your five year anniversary, I'll reconsider." Scorpius looked up.
"Just tell me what I have to do."
