Summary/ It all started with a single mission. 'Go to the planet Delphi' not hard you say but what we uncovered was a massive underground conspiracy. About what you ask? To commit genocide against a race that holds a powerful secret.
Prelude, Meet the Characters,
This is a story that I have heard since childhood and I feel moved to put it in written form before I am no longer.
It all started as a small, sleek federation ship glided what seemed to be effortlessly through space. This certain ship was headed to a certain planet. This planet was the third planet in the Oracalla system which stood on the very border of the Alpha Quadrant in the Athdini nebula. You would never have guessed that in this space of gases existed a habitable M class planet.
This planet 'Delphi' that thrived so far from any other civilization is the focus of our story for this small unassuming planet that is a safe haven in such a barren place existed a race with a secret so great that people will kill to get it.
But this planet is not the only focus of our story. The ship that was afore mention is none other then one of the rare defiant class ships and not just any but the U.S.S Argo. Now why you may ask? Why is this Argo so important? It's not so much this ship itself that makes it so important but rather two people with very key roles on both this ship and my story.
The first is Captain Kathryn Janeway, Former Captain of the Starship Voyager which had returned after a seven year accidental stint in the uncharted region of space known as the Delta quadrant. And has since been given command of the Argo. She has not seen nor talked to either Chakotay or Seven since the debriefings.
The second is Lt. B'Elanna Paris, Former Chief Engineer for Voyager she was assigned to the Argo when Captain Janeway was given command. She left her daughter and Husband on earth because she felt it would be too dangerous at this moment for her young daughter. She has every intention of bringing both of them on board when the return to earth. She often hears from Chakotay but has been sworn to secrecy about telling him where Kathryn is.
This was not how the story was told to me when I heard as a child for I already knew all the characters of this story but since you have not I figured it would be best to let you in on my knowledge of the characters and since I have done that it is time to start the real story.
