This story takes place in volume 18 of the manga. Naraku is contemplating what Kikyo told him when she gave him the jewel shard Inu-Yasha and Kagome collected. The parts in quotation marks are the actually text from the manga and the italics is the part I wrote. Hope you like it

Naraku sat on his pallet in his castle. His mind was heavy was thoughts of Kikyo and her fatal words to him. The words echoed around him, "How strongly, inside you Onigumo's heart still beats."
He clenched his hands into fists. "Onigumo's heart..."
You knew all along. It's why you couldn't kill her.
"That filthy bandit...though completely paralyzed, he let his base thoughts run wild toward Kikyo..."
Like you do. You think of Kikyo, obsess over Kikyo. Isn't that why you killed her 50 years ago? You wanted her blood to stain the Jewel.
"To take her, he offered his body up to a horde of demons...and gave birth to Naraku. That stupid mortal heart..."
My heart.
"That heart that lusts after Kikyo..."
It is not the only thing that lusts after Kikyo.
"Still remains within this body-?"
Stop lying to yourself. I am here.
"Huh. Absurd. Kikyo, you've mocked me long enough. Now I have most of the Shikon Jewel in my possession..."
The shard she gave you. Her scent still lingers on it. I can almost taste her when this jewel is near. With this shard, I will bring you back to me, my Kikyo. You who are so pure. I will enjoy you. And thenand then we will kill Inu-Yasha. He took her from us, from me. But with the jewel shard...and then Naraku will become full demon, ridding himself of Onigumo's heart. But not of me. You will never rid yourself of me. I am here to stay, here to stay with Naraku. Onigumo is Naraku. Naraku is Onigumo.
"I have no more use for you," Naraku shouted.
But I am here, never the less. Never the less, I am here. Then the voice was silent. Naraku closed his eyes and breathed in deeply. His thoughts turned back to his problem with Kikyo.
"Your time has come, Kikyo. Now, Naraku returns you to the underworld forevermore."
