A/n: I changed the words of the song Photograph by Nickelback. But, this is based off the song. Just a bit of l/j. hope you like! R&R! thank you so much to all my readers!
James Potter looked at his wife sitting next to him, cradling their baby son. He smiled and remembered how it had been, a while ago. Lily turned to look at him and caught his smile, returning it. She then looked down at their son and her smile grew and her emerald eyes brimmed with tears.
He looked on the table and picked up a picture of him, Lily, Sirius and Remus, remembering so much.
Look at this photograph, every time I see it makes me laugh. Why do our eyes get so red and what the bloody hell is on Sirius's head?
James stood next to Lily, his arm wrapped around her waist, Remus leaned against the tree and Sirius stood there, unbalanced, unable to balance the book on his head. The books then toppled to the ground and he fell down laughing with everyone else. Peter hadn't been there for the picture. Hogwarts shown in the background.
This is where I went to school. Most of the time we had pranks to pull.
Lily looked at it and then at her husband and smiled. That had been only two years ago, when they had announced their engagement.
Every memory of lookin out the wooden doors, the photo album layin on my bed in the dorm.
Lily came back from putting Harry to bed and sat next to her husband, laying her head on his shoulder and looked at the picture also. They stared at it as if they were entranced by the intricate design of the frame.
James was the first boy I kissed. We were so nervous that we nearly quit.
He looked at her and gave her a kiss, full of love. She returned it and they broke off, grinning. They had gone through so much together in the past three years.
Sirius had changed a lot as well. So had Remus. It seemed a shame that he didn't know.
Every memory of lookin out the wooden doors, the photo album layin on my bed in the dorm.
James put his arms around her and she wrapped her arms around his neck as tears began to fall. Tears from two years ago, last year, and now, these Dark times.
We miss those times, we miss those days. We miss their faces. Nothing could replace that.
Lily cried harder and James kissed the top of her head. It was so hard to think of now, what was happening.
Every memory of lookin out the wooden doors, the photo album layin on my bed in the dorm.
Lily looked up, her face red and tear-stained. James wiped the remaining tears from her cheeks and kissed her. When they broke off, their eyes met and they knew. Knew everything. Knew what would happen and that no matter what, their love would continue.
It's hard to say, have to say it. Goodbye, goodbye.
