Chapter 1

Maria's P.O.V

It was a dark night. Lin Avenue was quiet, and the only light came off the moon. Well, that and the light from inside a house. This house in particular was not quiet, like the rest of the street. There were two teens that were awake and it did not look like they would go to sleep anytime soon. The one was blond and was spaced out as she watched her phone. Her name was Amanda and she was infatuated in a show. A show, called Fullmetal Alchemist. The other was sitting on the floor as she stared at the TV intensely. Her dark brown hair was long and once in a while, she would move it out of her face. That girl was me. Like Amanda, I was also infatuated in a show, but this show, was called Yugioh. Some people might call us 'antisocial', but I call it obsessed. That was all we would think about. These two shows were our life. Occasionally, we would ask each other stupid fan girl questions like: "What would happen if we could use Alchemy?" or "What if you were given the chance to touch Yugi's hair?" Yep, I told you, obsessed. Well, we didn't know it yet, but all of these questions would be answered soon.

"Amanda?" I asked, still not taking my eyes off the screen.

"Hum?" She hummed.

"I'm starting to get tired…" Quickly, she took her eyes off her phone to look at me.

"Are you kidding me? It's only 12:00!"

"Only!" I scoffed. "I don't stay up as late as you!" Amanda rolled her eyes.

"Come on Maria, just a little later…" I sighed, knowing I wouldn't get myself out of this one.

"Fine, only because we're watching Yugioh," She stared at me for a long moment. "And Fullmetal Alchemist," She smiled happily and gazed back at her phone. I did the same. Some time passed before Amanda spoke again.

"Maria?" I huffed as I paused the show and looked at her. She had an evil grin plastered on her face.

"If you were able to date a Yugioh character, who would you chose? Yugi or the Pharaoh?" I felt my face get warm.

"What about you? Who would you chose? Joey or Edward?" Now it was her turn to blush.

"I-I don't know," She admitted. I smiled and laughed.

"Geez Amanda, don't get so nervous! I don't know either!" She also smiled and began to laugh as well. We finally turned back to our electronics and watched our shows. More time would pass and the show was getting… weird. I narrowed my eyes as Yugi and the gang widened their eyes in surprise.

"What was that?" Joey asked.

"I don't know, let's go check it out," Yugi suggested. That's weird. I watched this episode millions of times and this never happened.

"AHHHH!" Amanda screamed. I turned to her.

"What?"

"Ed and Al aren't on my phone!" I raised an eyebrow in confusion as I walked over to her. I looked at her phone. She was watching an episode that I watched once before. Once of the characters, Roy was looked around the room.

"Where did Edward and Alphonse go?" He asked himself.

"That doesn't happen either," I murmured as I looked back at the TV screen again. The gang was by an open field where a bright light glowed.

"What was that?" Tristan wondered. Suddenly, the light died down and what I saw is something I would never forget.

"Amanda, look at the TV," She did and her eyes widened. Edward and Al were standing where the light use to be.

"Who are you?" Ed asked.

"We should be asking you the same thing," Joey countered.

"They're in the show!" Amanda yelled.

"That's impossible!" I added.

"What's impossible?" Al asked. The gang went quiet and so did we.

"We didn't say anything," Yugi stated.

"Amanda, did they just hear us?" I questioned. Everyone looked around.

"Who said that?" Edward demanded. Both of our eyes widened as we walked towards the TV.

"What's going on?" Amanda wondered. Slowly, I reached my hand out towards the screen. "Maria, what are you doing?" Then, the least expected happened, my hand, went through the TV.

"What the…" Suddenly, I felt a strong pull on my arm. "Uh, Amanda!" Her eyes widened as she grabbed my other arm and pulled on it, hard. "OUCH!"

"Sorry!" Then, with a more powerful force, stronger than us, it pulled both of us into the TV.
