A/N: Kind of a follow-up to 'Some Vampires Do Have Them' and based off a prompt from AglaiaWar, although this one's more Paric centric. Hope you enjoy :)

Curfew

Eric glowered out the window as he peered into the darkened street, "It's nearly dawn."

"Well spotted," Pam said drily from where she was lounging on the couch, flicking through a magazine.

"Surely they should be back by now," Eric continued, pulling the curtain back further for a better view.

"You force fed her your blood," Pam reminded him without looking up from her magazine, "if something had happened, you'd know."

Eric shot a dark look at her over his shoulder, "I didn't force feed her anything."

Pam rolled her eyes, "Of course not."

Eric narrowed his eyes but said nothing as he turned his attention back to the street.

"I knew this was a bad idea," he said after a moment.

Pam sighed and looked at him over her shoulder, "She's not a child, Eric."

"Then why does she act like one?" he muttered darkly.

"Maybe because you treat her like one," Pam mumbled under her breath as she turned back to her magazine.

"I do not," he protested.

Pam raised an eyebrow as she sat up to look at him properly, "Really? Let's review shall we?" she suggested, setting her magazine aside. "She's not your Child, yet she had to ask for permission before she agreed to go out with Jessica tonight. You then demanded to know where they were going, who they were meeting," she continued, checking things off on her fingers, "how long they would be, what they would be doing and, finally, insisted that she take some of your blood in case of emergencies."

She bit back a smirk at Eric's annoyed expression, "Did I miss anything?" she asked sweetly.

"I hate you," Eric said finally.

Pam smirked, "Mm, I bet you do."

"And it's all for her own protection," he added, turning to look out the window again, "I'm just looking out for her."

"No," Pam corrected him as she stood up, "you're acting like a deranged parent."

Eric glowered at her as she joined him by the window, "Now," she continued, "I'm going to ground, are you going to join me or continue to embarrass yourself?"

Eric hesitated, "What if something's happened?"

"Molly's a big girl, Eric, she can take care of herself," Pam told him firmly. Changing tack she looked up at him through her eyelashes, "Don't you worry about me? All alone in my room?"

Eric raised an eyebrow and she gave a theatrical sigh of regret, "Well, I guess I'll just have to find someone else to keep me company," she said, hiding a smirk as she turned away.

She'd barely gone two steps before Eric was in front of her, "That won't be necessary," he informed her.

"What about Molly?" she asked innocently as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

"I've decided you're right, Molly can take care of herself," Eric told her, "besides, I can't have you feeling neglected."

Pam's only response was a saucy smile before Eric scooped her up in his arms and carried her off to their light-tight bedroom.

A few blocks over, Molly paused in her rush to return home before Eric wrung her neck as a message from Pam came through on her phone.

Papa Bear has been neutralised, but you might want to use the cubbyhole. P x

Molly smiled and slowed her pace, silently thanking her lucky stars for the last minute reprieve.

One day she'd find a way to stop Eric from being so overprotective (or at least get rid of the ridiculous curfew) but in the meantime she was just grateful that Pam was able to distract him.
