Chapter 1: An Adventure
"Let the sparing match begin!" said a referee.
I started off with some kicks aiming at my opponents face, he only blocked. Then I swung my sword, he only dodged. Then he attacked with his sword, we clashed and clashed. I cut the head of of a dojo dummy and kicked it towards him which stalled him for a bit. Before he got up, I started to tackle him. When he caught himself, he dodged until I sent a kick to his abdomin sent him flying. He quickly regained himself and started to attack me. I kicked some boxed at him which stalled him for three seconds. I ran on the wall while he ground, then I turned and kicked his shoulder. We started to clash swords again though every unblocked attack he threw, I blocked. Then he started to rush me and throwing hard attacks which made me resort to my defense. I used my agility advantage through youth, which gave my opponent fatigue. Suddenly, he grabbed both my legs and swung me into the boxes. He charged after me, I used the boxes as defense and yet attack throwing them at him stoping him for only a second. I ten resorted back to my flexible kicks and used my acrobatics to dodge and yet give him more fatigue. He then held my left arm, pulled me to him and punched me. Then my right arm, pulled me and back kicked me which made me fall face first. He came charging with his sword as a rolled away. I then flipped upwards and kicked him. He swung his sword at me as I grabbed hid wrist an flipped over him. I presses my right foot in his back by his waist, held hs arm and flipped him over on the ground. He then punched my foot then swung his sword tripping me while he flipped up. I too flipped back up, then I punched his shoulders, tripped him with a foot sweep and held my sword to his for-head.
"Well, master." said grinning.
"No wonder you're my best student. Hmmn, for a moment there I was going to give it to Joelle," he said looking at Joelle in the bleachers.
"No you weren't you knew it would be me," I said modestly.
"Well you're to face Suki," he said taking a towel and water from the referee.
"Wait what, she's from the Kioshi Warriors. What do you mean?" I asked.
My Master sighed and said, "You see, there is a tournament coming up and all warrior tribes are to fight. Even the earth kingdom warriors."
"So, no wonder you wanted to find your best student." I said flexing my muscles.
"Anyway were out by tomorrow, so start packing up." He yelled as he left.
The way to the earth kingdom where it was held, was a long and borng trip. We were so bored that we made impressions of firebenders, earthbenders, waterbenders and airbenders. Though when we reached, there was only the Kioshi Warriors, and a group called the Firey Roughnecks but it seemed that we had reached early, although we took forever to get here. We all went into the arena to introduce ourselves. All the warriors seemed pretty chill while not in a fight. As I was about to go the bathroom, I saw thing long-haired girl who wore the Kioshi wardrobe out on the balcony with tear in her eyes. I walked toward her and as I did, she colapsed onto the floor drowned in tears.
"Hey, what's wrong" I calmly asked.
She said nothing just ignored me as if I hadn't said a word. It seemed that she didn't want words, so I stooped down and hugged her. She suddenly wrapped her arms around my neck and cried on my shoulder. After she seemed to simmer down, I asked her her name and why she was crying. She said her name was Ty Lee and that her birthday is tomorrow.
"What about your birthday that's making you cry?"
She started to retrieve her tears, "Well my sister and I share the same birthday, and I left them in the circus years ago. Though, I miss them."
Her makeup started to run as she held on tighter.
"Come, let's get you cleaned up." I said as I stood up with her.
She gave me a sweet kiss on my right cheek, "Thank you."
I blushed alittle as I carried her to the washroom.
The next day, I woke up early, freshed up, placed two lines of black powder under my eyes, grabbed my knuckle gloves and my katana.
"I'm going to bring my dojo victory," I said as I walked outside my quarters.
