Prologue

Drake was sitting at a bar, drinking all the whiskey he could get. He has been there for two hours. The drinks at that space station were not all that good. However, when you want to forget something -desperately- you drink.

What Drake wanted to forget was his sister's death. No matter how much he drank, or how hard he tried, he just could not rid himself of the memory. That horrible moment remained fresh in his mind. He would give anything to see her again; to apologize for his mistake. She protect him when he was in a fight he could not win. Then she paid the ultimate price for him to live.

"Hey buddy!" An angry voice shouted. "That's my seat!"

It was a guy with purple skin and had a human shape. Both his hands were mechanical and he wore bronze armor. His teeth were pure yellow and his breath smelled like rotten fish.

"Get out of my seat!" The purple man ordered.

When Drake did not respond, the purple man tried to punch him in the face. Not only did Drake dodge the assault, he countered with a fierce attack. He must have landed two dozen kicks in under ten seconds. The purple man's broke like in were tin foil. He collapsed, totally motionless. After that Drake went back to his drinking.

"Impressive." The person sitting next to Drake said.

This person wore a gray cloak over his entire body. Even his face was covered. His voice was rough, like an old man's.

Drake simply ignored him at first.

"Drinking all the alcohol in the universe will not bring your sister back." The cloaked figure said.

That startled Drake so much, he spit the whiskey right out of his mouth.

"How do you know about that?!" Drake demanded.

"Let's just say that I know a lot about warrior that I find useful." The cloaked man responded.

Drake tried to grab the man, but his hands went through him, like he was not even there.

"Now, now, is that any way to treat someone who came to help you? The cloaked man asked.

"What do you mean?" Drake said.

"Why, I'm here to tell you how to get your sister back, of course." The cloaked man replied.

"Not possible." Drake said. "I don't know what you heard, but she's dead."

"Oh, I know, but she can be brought back." The cloaked figure said. "You see, on this little planet not too far from here, there are these things called Dragonballs." It is said that if you gather all seven and say a certain phrase, then you can have one wish granted. Of course, there are limits, but reviving the dead isn't one of them."

"Ya, right." Drake rolled his eyes.

"I am completely serious." The cloaked man said.

"If these 'Dragonballs' really work, why haven't you used them?" Drake said.

"I currently have no wish I want granted." The cloaked figure said.

Suddenly, an object shaped like a pocket watch appeared in Drake's hand. On one side, there was a green screen and on the other side was a written phrase.

"What is this?" Drake asked.

"A device to help you locate the Dragonballs." The cloaked man said. "I even went to the trouble of writing the necessary phrase on the back."

"What do you want in return?" Drake asked.

"You will owe me a favor to be repaid whenever I want." The cloaked figure said.

For a long time, Drake stared at the object in his hand. He did not trust this person in front of him. However, if there was any chance of bringing back his sister, he needed to take it. So, not long after, he left for Earth.

Chapter 1

Tommy was being bullied when a strange teenager saved him. Some jerks from Tommy's school were mocking him just because he was a poor kid attending a school for rich kids. Three spoiled punks had ganged up on him. It looked like things were about to get violent, when a guy interfered.

This person looked about sixteen years old, had messy-black hair, a muscular body, and purple eyes. He wore a brown-sleeveless shirt, jeans with holes, and hiking boots.

"What do you want?!" The leader of the group asked.

"Anyone ever tell you that bullying is so lame?" The boy asked, sarcastically.

"Oh, I see," the leader replied. "You want to defend this pathetic little guy, huh? Well, bad idea, man."

"Ya, looks like we're going to have to teach you a lesson." One of his underlings chuckled.

A moment later, all three of them charged at the stranger. In the blink of an eye, he knocked them all unconscious. It was amazing. Tommy did not even see him move. His bullies were laying on the ground, almost motionless.

"What the heck?!" Tommy said.

"Foolish weaklings." The stranger murmured.

"Ah, thanks dude." Tommy said. "Who are you?"

"You don't need to know." The stranger replied. "We will probably never see each other again."

Then, he walked away while looking at something in his hand. It looked like a pocket watch. When Tommy looked at his own watch, he realized if he did not hurry to school, he would be late. So he ran, still wondering who the stranger that had saved him was. The thoughts stayed with him all day.

Tommy attended Bronze Boar Academy; a school for the ingenious and the very rich. Though, it is mostly for the rich. Those among the students who are not wealthy are bullied by those who are. Shortly after enrolling, most of the poor students transfer out. However, Tommy refuses to leave. He has been learning at the school for four months. The reason he will not leave is because he does not want to be powerless. For as long as he can remember, he has had no control over anything in his life. He could not stop his mother from dying, or stop his dad from becoming a lazy drunk. When he became an adult, he wanted a good job and an even better life. A life where he would never be powerless to stop something.

As he was making his way out of the school, some bullies blocked his path. They were not the same one's from this morning, but them and those guys are friends.

"What do you want?" Tommy asked.

"Tell us Tommy, is it true." A voice spoke from behind him.

Behind him stood Heath, the school's worst bully. What made him the worst was that he knew how to fight. Seriously, he had had training that would break most people. Or, atleast those were the rumors at school. Given how he demonstrates his strength in gym class, they were not that hard to believe.

Heath wore the same school uniform as Tommy; a sweater-vest, a white shirt, and brown jeans. He stood over six feet tall, had brown hair that was extremely short, and green eyes. Tommy has brown hair, pale skin and is slightly shorter than Heath.

"Speak up, Tommy." Heath said. "I was told you have a friend who beat up some of my associates."

Tommy quickly realized he was talking about the incident this morning.

"I don't know the guy." Tomm said.

"Really?" Heath said.

Then he pushed Tommy to the ground. Hard. His goons pulled Tommy to his feet and held his arms.

"You shouldn't lie, you know." Heath said. "No stranger would risk fighting three of my friends to save a worm like you."

"Oh really." A new voice yelled.

It was the same guy from this morning. He calmly walked over to them.

"Who are you?" Heath said.

"The person that defeated your friends." He replied. "I'll tell you my name if you answer one question. Do any of you possess the Dragonball?"

Everyone was clueless about what he meant. To help, he showed them two orange orbs, each the size of a baseball, with red stars inside them. He said that he wanted to know if they had one of those.

"Yes, I have one." A goon said. "I found it on the ground yesterday."

The goon pulled the ball out of his coat pocket.

"May I have it?" The stranger asked, politely.

Before the goon could reply, Heath grabbed the ball.

"Sure," Heath said with a smirk. "If you get down on your knees and beg for it."

The stranger did not say or do for a short pause.

"How's about we fight for it?" He suggested.

"What?" Heath replied.

"I see you have the eyes of a warrior," He said. "So let's fight for it."

Heath laughed."You don't want to fight me. You would not stand a chance."

"I think you have that backwards." The stranger replied.

"What was that?!" Heath growled.

The stranger had a smirk now.

"Fine, it's your funeral." Heath said.

Before Tommy could warn the stranger about Heath, his underlings gagged him. Now, Tommy could only watch as Heath prepared to beat the stranger to a pulp. The stranger did not know that Heath was a rank apart from his cohorts.

He then tossed the ball to one of his underlings and took off his sweater-vest, then rolled-up his sleeves. With no intentions of holding back, Heath charged at the stranger. His opponent avoided every single punch and kick Heath tried to inflict. After about a minute, the stranger got bored and kicked Heath right in the stomach. That was all it took to bring Heath to his knees. His cohorts stared in disbelief.

"Now, I believe we had an agreement." The stranger said.

"Here, take it!" The underling said as he and his friends ran away.

The stranger picked up the orb and put it in his pocket. Then he started to walk away.

"Wait!" Heath shouted as the stranger began to walk away. Using all of his strength, he asked one thing. "You didn't tell me your name!"

"I am Drake." He replied without looking back. "If you want a rematch, you need to become much stronger. So strong that you could not even be compared to how you are now."

"I will!" Heath said just before he passed out.

Tommy was in total awe. This guy was unbelieveable. He was so strong. His strength was almost inhuman. How did this Drake person become so powerful? Tommy did not know, but he intended to find out. If he found out, maybe he could also become strong. Already, he has become intelligent, but lacked physical strength. So, he followed Drake.

After about an hour of walking, Drake suddenly stopped at the outskirts of the city.

"Why are you following me?!" Drake asked, clearly annoyed.

"Well, ah, I, ah," Tommy was not sure what to say.

"Stop mumbling and tell me!" He ordered.

"Because I want to become stronger!" Tommy blurted out. "I saw how you defeated Heath like he was nothing! I want that kind of power!"

Drake was expressionless. "Why do you want power?"

"For a long time now, I've been helpless." Tommy replied. "I hate that feeling. When there is nothing you can do to stop something bad. So, I need power. Then, I will never lose anything again."

Drake smiled for a second, before his expression became completely serious.

"Alright, kid." He said. "I'll train you, but how strong you become depends entirely on you. The road ahead will be tougher than you can imagine."

"I understand and I thank you." Tommy said.

"Okay," Drake said. "I'll train you while I search for the Dragonballs. Now, the only question is how to start you off."

He pulled out what appeared to be a Capsule. A Capsule is a small storage device. When a person pushes a button on it, then it becomes a larger device. Like a car or plane. His Capsule became a silver sphere the size of a house. A hatched opened on the bottom. The two of them entered. Inside was a kitchen and two beds on the first level. On the second level, there was a cold stone floor, a chair with a large screen in front of it, and in the center was a pillar that connected the floor to the ceiling. Attached to the pillar was a square shaped console.

Drake looked at the device in his hand.

"Okay, if we move slowly, we should reach the next Dragonball in two days." Drake said. "So to help with your training, I'll set this thing to twice the normal gravity of Earth."

"Sorry, what?" Tommy inquired.

"This vehicle is built with a gravity generator." Drake explained. "All you need to do is push a few buttons and the gravity will increase or decrease."

"Cool." Tommy said, fascinated.

"When I activate it, moving around will be far more difficult." Drake continued to explain. "However, it will make the benefits of ordinary exercise far greater."

"I got it." Tommy said.

"I sure hope you do." Drake said as he walked over to the console. "Here we go."

Then he pushed a button and there was a humming noise. Instantly, Tommy felt like someone had placed weights on every single part of his body. He almost fell over. Unlike him, Drake seemed completely unaffected by the increased gravity. There were no signs of stress on his body.

"Now, I want you to do ten laps around this room." Drake said. "You are not allowed to sleep or eat until you have finished. Though, I will provide you with two bottles of water whenever you ask."

"Alright." Tommy replied.

It seemed like such a simple task, at first. Only, he forgot how much more he weighed with the increased gravity. His muscles quickly began to feel like they were burning. At first, he had tried to run, but he found he was incapable of doing it. Even with all his effort, all he could do was walk. Halfway through his third lap, Tommy asked for water. He had tried to save the water til near the end, but he was just too thirsty and exhausted. It took him all of thirty seconds to consume the entire bottle. He saved the second until the start of his sixth lap. At the start of his seventh lap, he found he was struggling to move. By some miracle, he finished all ten laps, then collapsed. Before he passed out, Drake placed something in his mouth and told him to swallow. When Tommy swallowed, he felt like a machine that had just had new batteries put in. Seriously, his muscles felt as good as new and his energy was back to full.

"What was that?" Tommy asked.

"A Senzu Bean." Drake replied. "A special bean that restores strength and can keep your stomach full for an entire day. I have a whole pot full of them in the kitchen. So, we can train non-stop."

"Awesome!" Tommy replied.

From then on, they continued to train for two days straight. The two hardest days of Tommy's ever endured.
