A/N: This is an idea I got after watching a re-run of Grey's Anatomy. I wrote this in less than 15 minutes, didn't really proofread, and it's not beta'd, so mistakes are possible.

Set sometime after Kim Raven joined the cast as Teddy Altman. I don't own any of the characters.

Let me know what you think.

Enjoy.

Dude, she's Callie O'Malley

Teddy joined the other attendings at their lunch table in the cafeteria.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Arizona asked, noticing the strange look on her friend's face.

"Cristina Yang just asked me to sit with them."

"Ooh, that's good," Callie said happily. "So what do they call you?"

"Dr Altman. 'Cause that's my name," Teddy replied, not following Callie's train of thought.

"No, I mean, your McName. If they ask you to sit with them, they've accepted you, which means you probably have a McName," Callie explained.

"A McWhat?"

"A McName. You know, like Derek is McDreamy. Mark is McSteamy."

"Damn right I am," Mark interjected, clearly still loving his nickname.

"Even Addison had one," Derek remarked.

"She even had two," Callie corrected. "Meredith kept calling her McSatan, but the rest was going with McHot or McLegs, I think the vote was still up on that."

Teddy was slowly taking this in.

"So, if you're asked to sit with them, you have a nickname, which means they like you?" she asked.

"Jup. And it's not only for doctors. A couple of years ago, we had a McVet, that cute vet Meredith used to date," Callie supplied.

"Cute, huh?" Arizona asked with a raised eyebrow.

"No, he wasn't," Derek grumbled.

Teddy looked confused.

"Sore subject," Callie whispered.

"So you all have a name?" Teddy asked again. "Even Bailey?"

"Yeah, but not anymore. She used to be 'the Nazi', but then there was this racist patient, so now she's McNameless," Callie answered.

"So what's yours?"

"I don't have one. I used to be Callie O'Malley, I have a free pass on the McName thing," Callie shrugged. Her marriage with George had been less than perfect, but the name almost was the worst part of it.

"But everyone else has one, so you'll probably have one too," she continued.

"Wait a minute," Arizona interrupted, "Karev asked me to sit with them ages ago, but I don't have a McName."

"Oh no, you do," Derek answered with his characteristic charming smile. "You're McPerky."

"McPerky," Arizona repeated, trying out the name. "Oh, well, I can live with that."

"Just be glad Yang didn't win the vote," Mark said. "She was going with McCrazy."

"I can see why," Teddy said, teasing her new friend.

"Hey! No laughing with the McName until you know your own," Arizona objected. "And I'm not crazy," she pouted.

"You are a little crazy sometimes," Callie said. "But you're my McCrazy," she continued, giving her girlfriend a sweet kiss on the cheek before she had the chance to object.

"Good answer," Arizona smiled, turning her head so she could give Callie a proper kiss.

"Get a room," Mark said when they didn't show any signs of ending their kiss.

"You know what? I think we will," Callie said with a wink.

She quickly stood up, pulling Arizona with her, and left.

"So I guess the on-call room on the third floor will be out of order for the next hour or so," Derek remarked dryly.

"Make that two hours. I know that look on Torres's face," Mark grinned, as he too stood up to leave.

At that moment, Derek's pager went off, and he quickly left the table as well, leaving Teddy sitting by herself.

She shook her head and wondered, not for the first time, what the hell she'd gotten herself into.
