Blue - a Poem About Season 3-6 of 'BONES'

A poem I wrote a few days ago. It's about why the Jeffersonian lab coats are blue. I was inspired by a poem I read about Dr. Who regarding the TARDIS' color. I'm rather proud of it, especially since it's not my usual scare-your-socks-off poetry. WARNING - Sad.

'Blue'

a Poem About Season 3-6 of 'BONES'.

...

Some ask, 'Why are their lab coats blue?'

And now,

I will tell you.

Just why their lab coats are blue.

...

First it was Zach,

Who joined in on a cannibalistic attack.

And was sent away

To a mental institution.

Where he is seldom seen to this day.

...

They went through interns,

and squinterns,

and emotional twisters.

Until,

after all those boney splinters,

They found dear Mr. Nigel Murray,

who everyone fell in love with in a hurry.

He was loved so dearly,

And everyone saw that,

clearly,

he was Brennan's favorite.

...

But then Broadsky came,

and shot him down without a shame.

He begged,

blood seeping through his shirt,

"Please don't make me leave."

But then,

he was placed in the dirt.

Six feet below,

where no one shall know,

just how so.

...

So ask again,

why their lab coats are blue.

I can tell you a story,

and believe me,

it's true,

albeit gory,

of just why their lab coats are blue.
