I stood on the stage in a karaoke club. I was in republic city, living alone. Mom and Dad had died a while ago. There was a rather large audience, even the avatar and her friends were in the front table. I looked to my friends, Raiain and Rei in the front as well.

Rei and Raian had talked me into this, and had practically shoved me onto the stage.

"What song should she sing folks?" the MC asked. My friends replied.

"Somebody to love!" they shouted. Oh, spirits. I used to sing that song all the time, but the intro had started on the piano and the crowd started. The piano continued and I opened my mouth.

"Each morning I get up I die a little." I started and moved through the mechanics of the song.

The guitar solo came.

"I just got to get out of this prison cell, Someday I'm gonna be free, LORD!" The crowd started again. The somebody to loves stared again.

My mouth opened, and I sang the last trill.

"Somebody to love?" I sang slowly, and the crowd finished the rest. There were immense cheers from the crowd, and I looked at my friends. I hadn't sung since my parents died and my voice had not lost its effect.

"Do Real Gone!" my friends yelled.

"Give me that guitar." I pointed to the electric guitarist.

He handed it over. I started the chords and began to sing the ever familiar that seemed to describe me. I was in fact born in the South, the South Pole. And I did have a big mouth. When I finished the last of it, the cheers started again, and I stepped down from the stage.

My friends jumped up and enveloped me in their arms. I laughed for the first time in months.

"That was awesome! Just look at Oribia!" Rei pointed to the girl who had a grudge against me ever since I moved here. We were only fifteen and I was working two jobs, as well as my friends in front of me; we all lived together.

"Guys, come on, we need to work tomorrow." I started to leave, and was stopped by the new team avatar.

"Good job." The guy with the scarf said. I guessed he was Mako, the new police officer. His brother stood next to him; on Mako's other side stood Avatar Korra. Asami Sato was next to Bolin.

"Thanks. I really need to go now. Work you know." I pulled my friends away from the older teens. I caught the slight kiss Mako planted on Korra's cheek.

"If Prince Jeiku heard you he would not shut up!" Rei teased. The Fire nation prince and I met about a month before my parents had passed. I developed a crush, but he left the day before I lost my parents. It had been six months. Mom and Dad were killed Just after Amon was found out to be a fraud, and they had gotten in his way of escaping. My father knew Noatak, and Noatak had killed them in front of me. I shot him in the hand and he ran towards Air Temple Island. As far as I knew he was dead. Good riddance.
