Becky felt as if a metaphorical arrow was stabbing into her heart every time she watched Casper pine after Charlotte Baker. It was a cruel irony that she would die of such a wound. Literally.

Even crueler was the fact that Casper had been the one to fire the crossbow. Sweet Casper, her best friend and the man that she loved. Becky knew it had been an accident. Casper had been startled badly and it was only by chance that the arrow had plunged into Becky; she didn't hold it against him.

Becky knew Casper would never forgive himself. And she couldn't bare that. She had to tell him… "Casper," she whispered her body shuddering as it started to shut down.

"Becky, I can't do this without you," Casper sobbed. Tears spilled out of Becky's eyes as she summoned what was left of her strength to lift her arms.

"Go out with a bang, Casper," Becky whispered as she handed Casper the last grenade. She knew if anyone could defeat the horde of zemons and reverse the curse, it would be Casper.

"Becky, please. Stay with me." Casper pleaded; his perfect brown eyes spilling tears over his face.

"I love you." Becky whispered to her love. Her arms dropped and she felt darkness overtaking her. Her last memory was of Casper's tear-stained face.
