A/N: Watching some videos on FB inspired this very short one shot. And while it's my OC, since I'm mentioning Criminal Minds, I have to give due diligence. But this is mainly a simple shout out to my dear friends that are pet owners.

Matt Taylor yawned as he made the drive home. Like usual, unsubs took the holidays off giving the team some much needed down time during Christmas. After January first, all bets were off like David Rossi had told the team years ago. There was a case waiting for them when Hotch called them in on the third. Yet the unsub was not the smartest one they faced and they quickly solved the case.
Driving the deserted streets, Matt looked at the time on the digital readout with his sound system in his truck and shook his head. Three forty two. With the radio playing, a bit louder to keep him awake he smiled.
Making the corner to the street of his home, he noticed the darkened house and smiled that his wife and children were safe, sound and asleep. He pushed the button to open the garage door smiling. He pulled in, parked his truck and shut it down, pushing the button to shut the door.
As the garage door descended, Matt pulled his go bag and briefcase from the floor behind his driver's seat. He walked to the entry door to the house from the garage and put his key into the deadbolt lock.
Entering, he quickly shut off the security alarm for the house. Locking the door behind him, he reset the alarm system, set down his bags, pulled off his shoes and listened, looking to the steps in front of him. He broadly smiled.
Wilma rumbled down the steps towards him, her tail madly wagging. "Don't bark girl," Matt whispered and nodded at her to follow him. Wilma happily walked next to him into the family room. Matt sat down on the floor. "Hello my friend," he smiled as Wilma attacked him with kisses, jumping on him. "I missed you too girl. And I know you'll always be around to welcome me home, no matter the time." Matt wrestled with her a bit, slightly pushing her around as he deeply caressed her. Wilma challenged back with more kisses on his face, happily wagging her tail. "I love you," Matt said, as Wilma started to quiet down, accepting his warm rub down. "You are one of the not so little things I need in my life; no matter how many legs you have." Wilma nudged his chest with her head and then licked his cheek.

Raquel, the Taylor family nanny and housekeeper, quietly entered the home at her usual 6:40 a.m. She locked the door, reset the alarm, walked into the kitchen and without much light, deftly found the switch to turn on the light above the sink. She smiled at the stillness of the house that would change in ten minutes as Abbey got the kids up and dressed for school. She heard a noise coming from the family room that put the hair on the back of her neck on edge. Silently creeping towards the noise, she looked.
The small beacon of light coming from above the sink gave her enough illumination to see the sight that warmed her heart as she smiled deeply.
Matt and Wilma were curled on the couch, snoring together.
