Tori finished her performance and looked down at her group of friends as they rushed toward the stage. She smiled wide and reached over Andre to pull Jade into a hug. Both girls were holding onto each other tightly, and before they pulled away completely, the brunette kissed her "friend-but-not-friend-friend" on the corner of her mouth.
Whether that was on accident or purpose, neither girl knew. Nevertheless, it happened. And both were still smiling (though Tori could see a playful glint in Jade's eyes and a smirk slowly starting to replace the grin).
Tori turned to the rest of the group and they all joined into a hug, screaming about how amazing this night was.
They all walked backstage. Tori was given a lot of praise for her performance. The brunette noticed that her "friend-but-not-friend-friend" was looking at her shoes. Tori smiled at the people around her out of politeness and excused herself she could go talk with Jade.
"You hugged me," Tori said.
Jade lifted her head and smirked. "You kissed me."
The brunette stuttered, "Tha-that was... I don't know what... I didn't..."
"Vega," Jade started. "Shut up."
Two weeks later, Jade joined Tori, Cat, Robbie, and Andre to watch a movie at Tori's house. Jade chose the movie.
Cat was cowering in fear and was still muttering about how much she wanted some bibble. Robbie was squeaking as a guy swung a hatchet into someone's Achilles tendon. Andre was sitting with wide eyes and stuffing popcorn into his mouth. And Vega... she gasped and gripped Jade's pale hand in her tan one.
And Jade didn't pull her hand away either... but instead, laced their fingers together and hid a smile.
