Genin Tales
Based in the time skip between Takara's unsealing and team three's Chuunin exam.
At training ground thirteen team three was working hard to get ready for the upcoming exams in Suna. Being watched over by their sensei, Hyuuga Hinata, the team was making good progress. As the exam grew near Hinata began to worry about her team, but for one member for a different reason entirely.
One summer's day Hinata was going to put her plan into action. The sun was shining in the cloudless sky, the wind was cool and team three was taking a break. As he would sometimes do, Naruto had joined team three at their training ground. Normally he would wait until Hinata had set some exercise and watch with her but today Hinata had a request.
"Can you work with Shin today?" Hinata asked her boyfriend from her usual perch on the rock.
"Why?" he asked with a puzzled expression, occasionally Hinata would let him join in on their exercises but she knew better than to trust a gennins training to him, she remembered what he taught Konohamaru.
"It's just that I'm a little worried about him…" Hinata scratched her head.
"Why I thought you said he was doing great?" Naruto looked up from his spot on the ground.
"Well he is…" Hinata answered.
"Come to think of it Takara gives him extra training when she's hiding from Keku. She's getting as bad as Tsunade Baa-chan when it comes to paper work" Naruto chuckled at the similarities.
"Yeeeaahhh, I think that might be part of the problem…" Hinata rubbed her head.
"How so?"
"Well, I'm just a little worried about him…" Hinata scratched her scar while she thought of how to word this. "Shin's team are girls, his sensei is a girl and his idol is a girl…" Hinata said quietly so the team wouldn't over hear her.
"So…"
"So I think he has too many … um… female influences." Hinata said with a blush.
"huh?" Naruto still didn't get it. "What do you mean female influence?"
"Well er…" Hinata rubbed her scar again. "During the last mission, I noticed that Shin's toenails where painted pink…"
"OHHHHH" now Naruto got it.
"So can you work with him for a little while?" Hinata begged.
"I dunno…"
"I'll buy you ramen" she bargained.
"Sold!" Naruto hopped up.
"Thanks Naruto," Raising her voice she called, "Shin come over here."
The young Royki left his team mates and jogged over.
"Yes sensei?" he chimed.
"I want you to work with Naruto for a while." Hinata told him
"Why?" the boy asked.
"Because … um …" Hinata tried to think of answer
"To get more experience" Naruto chipped in.
"But Takara-sama is coming later" he whined.
"Well you're working with Naruto." Hinata ordered.
"But…"
"Working with Naruto!"
"But…"
"YOU'RE WORKING WITH NARUTO, IT'S FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!"
Hinata's shout got the attention of the other two genin.
"What's that about?" Aiko asked, her hair brown today.
"Sensei thinks Shin's gay" Megumi answered.
"Should we tell sensei that we painted Shin's toes as a joke when he was asleep?"
"Nah this is more fun." Megumi smirked.
I thought of this but it really didn't fit in with the time period in the story, and when i was really bored in work i wrote it. it made me giggle so i thought i'd share :)
