He walked down the dark, windy road, searching. Searching for what he is still living for, searching for a way to end the suffering, searching for her. His lost love. His heart shattered into many little pieces that horrible day. He found them together, found her love for him was gone. It had never existed. And it's sad, he couldn't help but love her, but she couldn't help but love him. Roy. The reason his life was falling apart. The reason he couldn't go on.

He stumbled into a cemetery, and laid down next to his parents. Their cold, dusty graves the only source of comfort in the state he was in. He was startled to feel a small hand on his shoulder. His face masked his pain. His anger masked the deep hurt that was tearing him apart as he looked up at her.

"Leave me alone." His words were like a knife, stabbing her in the heart.

She wanted to comfort him, wanted to make everything better. She had heard what happened, and she had heard his cries despite the effort to conceal his hurt.

"Please, let me help you." She softly took his hand and led him out of the dreary place, her dark red hair shining in the moonlight, green eyes glistening.

"I can't. I just can't." He moaned.

"Richard, please believe me, I can help you. I can make everything better. I can-"

"No! No you can't! He ruined everything! I can't take this Kori! This is too much for me." His shouting had lessened to a soft wail.

"She broke my heart. I want her to hurt like I hurt." He growled.

Kori took his hand again, and pulled him into a hug.

"The hottest love has the coldest end." She whispered.

He leaned into her touch, closing his deep blue eyes, letting the tears spill over.

"Make it stop." He pleaded. "Make it stop."

She pulled away and looked straight into his bloodshot eyes.

"It is strange to see a boy cry his heart out, and still love him all the same."

Richard looked down at her, confused, and scared.

"Don't hurt me again." He said.

She smiled up at him, a light dancing in her eyes. She kissed him, and with her heart, promised him she would never hurt him, always be there when he fell, and always love him forever.

And he realized, his broken heart just might have found what it needed. It wouldn't heal. Oh no, it will always scar him, always be a reminder of the hurt that she caused. But it would be loved and cared for by a princess. A beautiful princess with long ruby hair. And sparkling green eyes, filled with love.

(A/N the "she" in the story can be whoever. Raven, Terra, Babs etc. etc. But the main characters are Richard and Kori. Hope you liked it! Please review!)
