Hermione sat in the chair in the corner of the Gryffindor common room. She looked around at the sights. Some people were doing homework, some were sleeping, and some were playing wizard chess or some other wizard games. She looked over in the far corner and saw something that made her want to cry. Ron was sitting in a chair with Lavender on his lap, and they were snogging. A lot.

Drew looks at me

I fake a smile so he won't see

That I want and I'm needing,

Everything that we should be

I'll bet she's beautiful

That girl he talks about

And she's got everything that I have to live without

She tried to be happy for him. Why shouldn't she be? He was happy, isn't that all that mattered? She wanted him to be happy, but with her. She wanted to be the girl snogging him on his lap. It was hard to be around him anymore. She would laugh if he told a funny joke. She would forget about everyone around her. Lavender was so lucky.

Drew talks to me

I laugh cause it's so damn funny

That I can't even see

Anyone when he's with me

He says he's so in love

He's finally got it right

I wonder if he knows he's all I think about at night

She looked down at her parchment. Her solemn tears had blotched all the ink, making it impossible to read. She took out her wand and began repairing it. I wish he loved me…

He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar

The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star

He's the song in the car

I keep singing, don't know why I do…

Hermione looked at them again. They had stopped snogging and were now talking to Harry. She looked at him only. He was so perfect. He had these gorgeous blue eyes and fiery red hair. He was flawless. She better take care of him…

Drew walks by me

Can he tell that I can't breathe

And there he goes

So perfectly

The kind of flawless I wish I could be

She better hold him tight

Give him all her love

Look in those beautiful eyes

And know she's lucky cause

She continued to watch them, secretly. Harry came over and sat down opposite her.

" It must me hard for you." He said.

" I just wish he knew how much I love him."

He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar

The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star

He's the song in the car

I keep singing, don't know why I do

Hermione packed up her stuff, said good night to Harry, and trudged up the girl's dormitory steps. She threw down her bag, changed, and crawled into bed. She looked at the moving picture that Harry had taken of them a couple years ago. He was smiling at her. A tear ran down her cheek and she slammed down the picture, causing the glass frame to break.

So I drive home alone

As I turn out the light

I'll put his picture down

And maybe get some sleep tonight

She rolled over in bed. She was lonely, she hated Lavender for taking him. She hated Ron, too, for breaking her heart.

He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar

The only one who's got enough of me to break my heart

He's the song in the car

I keep singing, don't know why I do

He's the time taken up

But it's never enough

And he's all that I need to fall into…

Crap. Hermione remembered a book that she had left downstairs. She put on a sweater over her to-small tank top and went down the steps. After the bottom step, she bumped into Ron, who was carrying her book.

" You forgot this." He said.

" I know. I just came down to get it." She replied.

" Okay." He said, giving her the book.

" Night, 'Mione." He said, smiling.

" Night." She replied, faking a smile and running back to bed.
