Comparing Grimmjow to a cat was, frankly, idiotic.
At least, he thought it was.
He never really saw that he had anything in common with felines.
They lazed about all day; he hunted for something to do 24/7.
If they hunted, they snuck up on creatures. Grimmjow liked to make his prey know he was there.
Cats were easily distracted. It took a lot to get Grimmjow off any goal he had.
Cats could see at night…
Grimmjow was bad at advancing in the dark.
Hey, we said he didn't have a lot in common.
So, his surprise, he found that not many people compared any of the other Espadas to anything, either.
Starrk, though akin to a wolf, stayed away from everyone and slept all day, despite it being endless night.
Nnoitra had reversed the mantis concept, but no comments on that.
And, of course, there was Ulquiorra.
Simply put, he screamed of dragons.
And, to any great "wizard", one had to have the reptilian of legend.
Ulquiorra was the winged beast that guarded Aizen and the treasure-filled troves of Las Noches.
He followed commands, ate the intruders when told to, fought back with rage.
He even did cliché things, such as kidnapping "princesses" and guarding over them with watchful, neon eyes.
And even then, he could even look the part.
Slit-pupils in a bright color of green, skin has hard as scales, mighty wings and claws, and a horn like a cow that turned into horns of a helmet and buck. To call him a mash-up of the western and eastern versions were on mark.
Of course, his cold attitude and aloofness to anything didn't stop the oncoming "knights" from their heroic deeds.
Grimmjow didn't like the fact that the rescue squad went after Ulquiorra.
Ulquiorra never fought unless provoked, or so he said. And fights with him were over quick.
The three knights, and later five knights and three tag-alongs, dove after the dragon's horde time after time.
They could be caught, but their plan was to get the treasure and flee back to their "village".
They carried swords or bows and arrows, maybe even their bare fists. None of them carried shields though.
Grimmjow wondered if the mighty dragon thought this was dull, since he could easily sweep his tail and the knights would be rolling. Blasts of green fire could knock them away.
And even then, Grimmjow couldn't help but wonder if a fight with Ulquiorra could even be fun.
Of course, if he did, the tiger would bring a shield.
Maybe then, the dragon would smile by the challenge.
