Throwing himself down on the sofa in the Gryffindor common room, Sirius propped his head up on his hand and gazed lovingly over at the boy in the chair across from him. Remus, who was reading a rather large book, scrunched up his nose in frustration as his brain registered the books content. Chuckling quietly to himself, Sirius questioned Remus' confusion aloud "what's bothering you Remmie?" Remus, startled that he was not alone as he had presumed, dropped the book from his lap onto the floor and spun his head round to face his very amused boyfriend. "Sirius! Don't scare me like that!" He exclaimed as he swooped down to retrieve his book from its position on the floor and place it carefully upon the table, "I thought you and James had that detention with Slughorn tonight?" "We did mate, managed to sweet talk old Sluggy into letting us go early, he never could resist my charms." Sirius threw in that last comment almost as an afterthought, accompanying it with a sly wink in Remus' direction. "So what happened to James after the two of you escaped detention? Please tell me he's not off stalking poor Lily again?" Remus inquired as a light blush spread across his cheeks. Sirius, who was extremely pleased with the fact that he has managed to make Remus revert to using what he had dubbed his boyfriends 'prefect voice' less than five minutes into the conversation, simply flashed his boyfriend a wide grin as an answer to his question. After rolling his eyes at his friends insistence when it came to Lily Evans, Remus slumped himself back into the chair he was sitting in and treated his book to a glare after he spotted it again. Powered by his never-ending curiosity and concern for his boyfriend Sirius lifted himself from the sofa and draped threw himself down onto the rug in front of the fireplace, grabbing Remus's arm and pulling him along as well so that he lay flat on his back with Sirius hovering above him, peering worriedly into his amber eyes. "What did the book do to make you angry Remmie? I thought you and books had the perfect relationship?" The tiny smile his boyfriend offered him as response only served to worry Sirius further. Averting his gaze to the ceiling, Remus replied so softly that Sirius would have missed it had his gaze not been intently upon Remus' lips to begin with. "It's nothing really Sirius, just a new book on werewolves that I thought would be more positive then it turned out to be." Sirius felt the same rush of sadness he always felt when it seemed that Remus believed all the terrible things people wrote about werewolves, and then applied them to himself. Laying down on his back and guiding Remus' head to lay on his chest, Sirius ran his fingers through the tawny locks on his chest as he spoke. "Whatever horrible things those people wrote aren't true about you my Remmie. Your sweet and kind and I never want you to forget that. Ok?" Remus nodded against his chest before snuggling in with a big smile on his face and closing his eyes contentedly. Reaching up and grabbing a blanket from the armchair above them, Sirius spread it over the both of them, placing a kiss on top of Remus' head before setting down and drifting to sleep with a smile on his face, holding his love in his arms.
