It was a well known fact that the house of Slytherin was not the most popular house and they did not nurture any inter house relationships.

However they did have some friends in the house of Ravenclaw. The students were sitting in the room of requirement so that their friendship will stay secret.

Their friendship was one of the Slytherins secrets much like the fact that none of them wanted to become a death eater..

And so it occurred that one Ravenclaw asked the Slytherins:

Why do you call you-know-who the Dark Lord?

What else should I call him? asked Blaise Zabini and furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

Draco Malfoy tilted his head, a habit that his friends called the Malfoy-puppy-head-tilt, and said : You know when it comes to addressing the Dark Lord we have run into quite a predicament… You can not call him you-know-who because there are people who do not know him, like wizards in the USA, because he is only causing trouble in the UK. Additionally one has to mention that it is incredibly stupid to be afraid of a name. So we can definitely rule out the popular you-know-who… Now why don't we call him Voldemort… I can only speak for myself but I absolutely refuse to address that "man" as Voldemort, a name made up by a crazy nutcase because he thought that Tom Riddle sounds too boring… And I think that everyone will agree that one can not address him as Tom Riddle anymore… He really doesn't seem human to me, which automatically makes it impossible for me to address him as "he"… And if we are honest I do not think that anyone would want to think about the Dark Lords sexuality. Hmmm… The Dark Lord is really pale and I think evil would be a better description ,so I think Evil Lord would be a more fitting title… but then again Lord implies something human… I think we could call him crazy-moron-with–plans-to-take-over-the-world or a something-that-once-was-human-now-looks-like-a-vampire-without-a-nose-and-is-quite-evil, but that is rather lengthy. So I will just stick with the Dark Lord because I like the sound of it…it sound epic! I mean it sounds way cooler to say "I will defy the Dark Lord" than "I will defy Tom Riddle" or "I will defy you-know-who"!
