Rain

(AN: This is a poem about Jean thinking about someone else.)

The rain pours down around me,
And the pain is sinking in,
I know now I have lost you for good,
I'm sadder than I've ever been.

In a way I wish this journey,
Had never come to it's end,
If it had not, I'd still be with you,
My broken heart will never mend.

I never told you how I felt,
And now you'll never know,
If I could, I'd turn back time,
The future, now it is my foe.

I long to hold you in my arms,
To run my hands through your soft blue hair,
To gaze into your midnight eyes,
A find like you is very rare.

In all the time I knew you,
You never even spoke my name,
I wonder if you even knew it,
Or if you ever felt the same.

And the rain pouring down around me,
Is a reflection of how I feel,
My heart, a desolate wastlend which,
After losing you, needs time to heal.

I'll wait for you forever, love,
Though I know you'll never come,
But know that someone cares for you,
No one's heart should be this numb.
