Luna walked swiftly back to her dorm. The one thing she hated about nights like these was having to leave him. She hated it. As soon as she would leave a pang of emptiness would wash over her. Luna loved Draco. At least she thought she did, she'd never loved anyone before besides her father and late mother. She hoped Draco loved her too, why else would he ask her to meet him secretly at night? Why else would he wink at her when no 'one was looking? And why else would he hold her like he did? Even if Draco didn't love her, she didn't mind, she got to spend precious time with Draco Malfoy and that was all that mattered.

Luna arrived safely at her dorm, entered and went to bed straight away. As she slept she dreamt of Draco, his cold eyes and beautiful blond hair. She dreamt of him kissing her the way he did, and running his sexy fingers along her arms as he held her close. He made her feel safe; he made her feel like a person. Luna really loved him. When she woke up she knew she loved him for sure, she just knew. She would tell him... Maybe. What if she told him and he didn't say it back? What if it put him off, creeped him out and he never wanted to speak to Luna again?

As Luna climbed out of bed, her head full of questions, her friend Amy Pindar spoke, "Good Morning Luna, you look tired… nightmares again?" Luna looked at her best friend Amy. Amy Pridar, the girl with the money, the girl with the sharp long black hair and piercing blue eyes. Amy was the one Luna told everything too- except about Draco. "Em, no. Just weird thoughts." Luna replied softly as she stood up. "I see. I get those too sometimes. Oh hey! That reminds me! Did you know that if you can't sleep at night it means you're awake in someone else's dream? It some sort of Japanese proverb or something." Amy said with her clear and confident voice as she pulled on her fleece. "Really? Wow, I've never heard of that. Very interesting." Luna whispered in her usual glazy tone. Luna already knew that, along with a lot of things. Luna was clever. A lot cleverer that people thought.

It was a Saturday; on Saturdays Luna liked to eat apples outside on her own. Luna loved being on her own –Not as much as being with Draco but still, she loved it. As she laid her three apples on the dewy grass and sat down she looked out at the pond. She looked at how it sparkled in the morning sun. As Luna took a bite of her first apple she began to think again of what would happen if she told Draco she loved him. All she could think of is what would happen if she lost him? If her confession of love to Draco repulsed him and he hated her. Luna wiped the apple's juices from her lips as she decided not to tell Draco of her love for him. She felt it was for the best. "Keep it to yourself." Luna whispered to herself.
